I like Disc Golf and Ultimate, or really any game where the point is to throw a thing some distance. In high school I did shot put, discus, javelin as well and they were also a lot of fun; I watch those as well as the hammer throw at the olympics, and I also enjoy caber (and have done it, though not recently) and any event where you throw a heavy thing.

I am a bad hockey player, but an enthusiastic hockey watcher, and figure skating is also a staple watch in our household, as my wife was a ranked figure skater many years ago, and is always the best skater on the ice whenever we go skating. Our kids all skate, and my son plays ice and ball hockey and I enjoy watching them a lot. Most of our evenings these days include playing ball hockey in the driveway.

Soccer is another sport that is frequently on - when the Canadian Women's team is playing in a major event, we are almost certainly watching.

As a caricature of a Canadian - I am a braw lad with a thick beard and a flannel coat and look like a lumberjack - I also enjoy most of the winter sports. I used to love going curling, though I haven't been in years, and we're going to pick up some snowshoes and cross country skis for the next winter. As far as watching goes, skeleton, luge, and bobsled are go-to watches, and also the remaining sport that requires skates that I haven't mentioned yet - speed skating.

One of my daughters does diving and the other does archery, so I am learning more about them and am developing an appreciation for those; they are both also on during olympic season.

I got into football quite a bit when I got a little older, not sure about now to be honest - the NIL stuff left a bad taste in my mouth. Not the idea, but the execution.

Around five years ago I got into F1, through a friend, right before Netflix had their show. I played racing games a lot (shoutout Gran Turismo) but never actually got into the product itself. Now I’m a major motorsports nerd - F1, IndyCar, occasional NASCAR, IMSA, WEC…if it’s got four wheels and a motor I’m watching it. I pass on MotoGP, that gives me anxiety lol

For the past few years it's been Formula 1. I'm an engineer and I think this is the closest thing to an engineer's sport since the team of hundreds of engineers are responsible for the majority of the performance. Strategy is also a huge part of it, which I did not realize before getting into the sport, so it's like an optimization problem that you have to solve in real time. It also happens to be really exciting to watch both in person and on TV. It's really easy to follow since there's only one event every other weekend or so, and there's no commercials! It's just around 2 hours of non-stop racing. I'm finding it really hard to go back to other sports I used to watch like football and basketball due to there being so many commercial breaks.

I generally enjoy playing any sport involving a ball, but basketball and soccer are the only ones I really enjoy watching. I used to watch football a lot, but the long term injuries the sport causes have really soured me on football as a whole, so I don't watch it anymore.

The World Cup is my favorite time to watch soccer. I don't really follow soccer leagues much, I've always meant to pick a team and start following them but I haven't gotten around to it yet. But I love watching the World Cup; I will catch every game I can.

Growing up in the US, I never heard of rugby. My son joined a club team a couple years ago and absolutely loves it. It’s taken my wife and I quite a bit to learn the game (still struggle with some of the finer details), but we really enjoy watching him and his team. I think we are going to go to the Major League Rugby Championship in Chicago next month.

I love playing football (both American and soccer), but tend to not watch much these days. American football we are usually busy on the weekends, and soccer has become just a who has the most money contest.

The only sport I truly love and fully absorb myself into during its season is NFL football. Favorite team is the Miami Dolphins and it has been a very painful existence as a fan of that team. Especially last season. But as I tell myself every season, this is our year. I do also silently cheer for the Commanders, but the branding choice is cooling my interest. All the cool US history or non-offensive Native American things they could've pulled a name from and they chose the bland-as-fuck "Commanders"... The black uniforms do look amazing though, I'll give them that.

I also enjoy Hockey, specifically the Washington Capitals. But I don't really watch games until the playoffs because there are so many and the stakes are low until you get to playoffs. And Caps usually make it to the playoffs, so I'm content with that.

I'd like to be more into baseball and basketball, but it'd probably just end up like hockey where I only watch the post-season.

Yeah I think if the Bills and Jets had continued like they were a few years ago, the Dolphins would have the AFC East in the bag no question. But it's exciting though because the AFC East had been the Patriots easy-pass to the playoffs every single year because they had Brady and none of us were any good. I'm glad the tables have turned and now Phins/Bills/Jets have their chance to shine. That being said, and in keeping with the traditions of /r/miamidolphins, which I will miss dearly in a few months -- FTJ FTB and especially FTP!

I play fantasy football sometimes. Usually depends on if I can find a group to play with because none of my friends are really into football. So I tend to tag along with whatever league my brother's playing in that year.

I watch a lot of baseball. I'm a huge Red Sox fan. I didn't even really get into it until high school back in 03-04. But I love it now and watch almost every single gave each season and try to get to the ballpark a few times a year. I love it because I can get enjoyment out of it regardless of how I take in the game. On TV paying close attention and maybe keeping score at home? Awesome. Game on TV or radio while I do other stuff? Also works great. At the park? An experience like no other. You can give the game as much attention as you want to without much pressure. Especially since there are 162 games per season so if you miss parts of one, it's not a huge deal. That's not to say there's no excitement or stakes involved though. I just love the sport.

I don't really keep up on any other sports. I don't really like basketball or soccer much. I've tried to get into both and they just don't do it for me. Hockey is fun, but I haven't been able to get myself to sit down and watch a season yet. I've watched a few playoffs though. And for the NFL, I really only watch the Super Bowl these days. But I grew up in a house where my dad and my brother were both obsessed with the NFL and watched most games every weekend.

    Disc golf.

Traditional golf never really caught my fancy due to the stuffy old boys club reputation, and general disinterest in sports.

It started out as taking walks through the park with friends and throwing frisbees, and has gradually transformed into a competitive drive to consistently perform at my best through a surprising variety of athletic movements.

There's something that tickles a primal part of my psyche when I throw something and watch it fly where I want it.
