I had heard of them in passing but never sat and listened to them. Then I found a few of their CDs in the local Charity shop and the Night Out album found its way to the car.
20s and 30s music played on more modern instruments but the recording of them is much better. The ones that I know (the old favourites) sound like true cover versions, so I can only assume the ones I dont know are as well.
I have really enjoyed listening to this album and will be giving the other CD's a go over the weekend
Turns out when I was researching the album for this comment that it was only issued on Vinyl and Compact Cassette, as far as I can see but this German pressing of a CD must be a bootleg.

I had read the Bob books before but never followed up with his other works. I'm enjoying them, not too heavy and sensible scifi.

I went to the zoo the other day, but there was just a dog in a cage. It was a Shih Tzu
So we went to another zoo, and there was just a cage with a loaf in it. I asked the keeper what was it all about, he said it was bread in captivity
Honest story. Im in a business where software upgrades get done at 2 and 3 in the morning. It has become a tradition that I tell Dad jokes when we have a quiet period. If I dont have one ready that is unacceptable, it has even become part of the Standard Operating Procedure, line 4001 the only line starting 4000, I Tell a Dad joke. I suppose it helps that to many of them I am old enough to be a father figure, So those above are my favourite, but I have more.
However, with an upcoming birthday that starts with a 6 and ends with an 0, it has been pointed out to me that these are not Dad Jokes, but Grandad Jokes.

What I did wonder is how many of them have reached other shores, I mean "Red Sky at Night" probably has but does anyone even know who St Swithun even was?
Also I would be interested to hear some country specific ones.
Typical British Bloke, always talking about the weather

I dont understand a lot of it as it is mostly Ukraninan but there is some English language songs. The energy though goes across boundaries

Comment on Working from home: Perks and policies? in ~life

We also all use our mobiles as back up connection devices.
I suspect you are probably American and asking this question (prepared to be wrong) so it may help if I factor cost into this
My internet is £30 ($38) and my SIM card with 20Gb Data is £8 ($10) per month for both. My router is a BT supplied one (UK ISP). Zero surveillance and flexible working hours (start between 7am and 10am, finish between 3pm and 7pm)
Travel to the office works out at £25 ($31) per day as I have to pay either train or toll charges and car park fees.
Therefore working from home is a benefit to me. Also there is no track on my work time, I can do what I like as long as the work gets done, a 2 hour lunch break to go shopping with my wife is accepted, I just work a little later.
As a manager of my department I also make sure that the people who are on my team are concentrating on their projects but as long as they deliver, then they can do it in their own time. Some of my team start early, have a three hour lunch and then come back for work.
Does this work? As a result we are five years ahead on the current corporate roadmap.
Also I do not micromanage as I find that stifles innovation and many things that we as an Exec team had never even considered as value have been created and delivered as an "oh and we thought of this"
I have suddenly realised that this was way off topic and didn't answer the original question but I hope this answers your question

I have just spent the last hour watching the Disability Premier League final at Sofia Gardens in Cardiff. It is still ongoing but it has been a great game to watch so far. The Tridents and the Pirates are battling it out.
It is being shown on Sky Sports currently here in the UK and listening to the descriptions and background of the sport has been fascinating.
Only in its third year it pulls together three type of disability, physical, deaf and learning and mixes them all together in the same squads.
The cricket play has been excellent up til now and as I said I have enjoyed what I have seen, its a shame that I stumbled on it accidentally as I think it should be advertised more and I hope that Sky can see their way to in the future showing more of the other matches that lead up to this final.
Go Pirates!!
