It's a cool video (I generally find Linus Tech Tips videos to be enjoyable) but when do the diminishing returns reach a point where you're basically throwing money away just to say you have a $100,00 pair of speakers?
Are a pair of $100,000 speakers 10x better than a pair of $10,000 speakers? Is a $10,000 pair of speakers 10x better than a $1,000 pair of speakers?
I turned an extra bedroom into a theater room and our 7.1 surround sound setup only cost about $700 (receiver included). I honestly can't imagine that a $10,000 setup would sound that much better than what I have.
It sounds like diminishing returns to me, differences becoming smaller with every 0 added. Difference between $100 and $1000 setup? Probably big. $10k and $100k? Eh.

After you get out of the normal consumer range for speakers and such, it'd be better to spend more money on the space than expensive speakers.
