What are the most personally influential/impactful/useful Tildes posts you can remember?

Inspired by this post by @kfwyre.

For me, there's many; I don't want to influence responses but I will shout out the monthly mental health threads. Those really got me to (over)share feelings and find some reason. I got through dark times thanks to you all, Tildoes.

Great question. There are a few things that stick out to me:

The various incarnations of "Tildes Make Something Month". For some personal reasons I haven't been able to participate in some of these, but I did participate in the first one, and then greatly enjoying seeing the fruits of everyone's labours. There are a variety of things that people made that I enjoyed, but @Grendel and their photography would be high on the list of something that stuck with me.

There are a variety of what I'd call "Earnest conversation pieces" that are often, but not always, posted by @kfwyre. These are pieces that encourage a bit of introspection and a bit of sharing. I really enjoy reading and participating in them; I think they are amongst the best content Tildes has available.

I think the greatest single thread is this one: What's something you have always wanted to know about being LGBT (but were maybe afraid to ask)?, wherein several users share immensely personal things about who they are.

Edit: I didn't mean to turn this into a kfwyre-only appreciation comment; though I do appreciate them, there are other people I like here too! So I'm just going to add in that a recent set of threads for me is the passion and interest that @cloud_loud brings to ~movies, which is now primarily where I learn about what is currently happening in hollywood.

I think about this one all the time, "If you found the secret to immortality would you tell anyone?"

The first thing that popped into my head regarding this was a post where the user @mrbig wrote about recent accident. The reason is that it made me feel a lot of empathy for @mrbig and this despite never having met or talked to them. It is cool that we can have feelings (be it compasion, anger, empathy or love) for people living thousands of miles away on another continent!
