Feature suggestion: Bookmark posts from front page

I'd like to be able to bookmark posts from the front page. Right now it really isn't an issue yet since posting frequency is low, but I often quickly check the front page for interesting reads, while not having the time to actually read them. I'd like to see a "Bookmark" button on front page posts that allow me to save those posts for later when I actually do have time to read the posts.

For quick scrolls over the front page, tapping the post and then bookmarking is one click too many.
You could argue I'm lazy, I call it efficiency.

While on the subject, if I click "bookmark" on a topic, it'll read "bookmarked" but does not offer an "unbookmark" option until I refresh the page. Since I have big thumbs(large bones) I often tap wrong, so it could be nice if there was a quick way to undo this, similar to how we can undo votes.
Edit: this seems to be a bug: it does work for comments.
Edit2: Made this into an issue.

This is mostly a design question—right now, we don't have any "action buttons" on topics in listings other than voting, and I'm not really sure how or where I want to add other ones. I'd like to try to avoid the whole row of "bookmark / hide / report / etc." buttons on every post, but I'm not sure what else to do.

Instead of adding an entire row, you could do a menu/dropdown (something like this - ..., on the right side). This way it would not be too cluttered and we can still have multiple options. Edit -...

Edit - Best I could do on mobile, something like this

Maybe I'm slow, but this is the first time I've realized that's possible.

Yeah, it shows that icons don't really work as well as a label that just says "expand text". Note how the front page has no icons except for the triangle. Edit: this is a specific thing mentioned...

Edit: this is a specific thing mentioned in the Technical Goals: https://docs.tildes.net/technical-goals#use-words-not-icons

"The result is that a lot of users won't even realize that some functionality exists, because they weren't able to puzzle out the meaning of an icon or didn't want to click random buttons to see the result."

That is exactly how I was going to suggest laying it out. This was how I envisioned it on desktop https://i.imgur.com/T8NhmpC.png

Added issue to gitlab: https://gitlab.com/tildes/tildes/issues/378 And given your response here, I figured 'feature' + 'investigate' would be the most appropriate labels to apply to it.

Place the actions you want people to be able to use easily and often in plain sight. File the rest under an 'actions' popunder that works like the comment labeling does. I'd leave hide in plain...

Yep, I've mentioned the front page design before(recall that really long email? :p). The front page already is pretty cluttered in my opinion, so actually adding another button probably isn't a great idea. Icons aren't an option either, so the only thing I can think of is finding a shorter synonym for "bookmark"- or abbreviating it. Probably a bad idea.

I think it's a good idea to make design mockups at some point; throw CSS spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks/looks nice and what doesn't work.
