I was fortunate enough to see the first episode at comic con and thoroughly enjoyed it. The show still has it's charm and wit. Looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

    Color me extremely jaded.

I'm currently doing a rewarch of the series and it's got some absolutely brilliant episodes. So I look forward to getting to season 11.

One of the episodes is titled 'Zap Gets Canceled', so I'd say there's a good bet they are going to tackle that. Probably in their normal irreverent way, though.

I cannot wait to see it for myself. Loved Futurama and it’s great to hear that this reboot still has the magic.

There's always the possibility that a show will come back. I realize that reviving a show isn't something new (see The Munsters, The Addams Family, The Andy Griffith Show and countless others), but it does seem like it's happening a lot more lately.

It's almost like these shows are on the Curb Your Enthusiasm model. Any season could be the last. Maybe there's a one year gap before another season or maybe it's three or even four years. As long as the demand is there, a show can come back whenever the network or the creators want.

It's almost like these shows are on the Curb Your Enthusiasm model. Any season could be the last.

When Netflix was newer, I had hoped that their "doing things different" meant that they'd have clauses in the contracts they made for shows to include an "out" clause that would allow the show the means to actually conclude. Maybe that would take the form of a shortened final season, one last full last season or even a 90 minute "movie" or something.

I've had Netflix since shortly after it started and I've finally dropped my subscription after having them cancel so many shows without concluding them. They're taking series that I would probably rewatch every few years or so and doing worse than "Game of Thrones"ing1 the series for me. I simply cannot get into any new series anymore until the final season is released so know it will be a "complete" story.

1While GoT actually got an ending, it was the worse ending in recorded media history for all the talked to death reasons, imo. I will add that I am 100% in awe at how quickly GoT went from the thing to talk about every week to nobody admits to watching it anymore in pop culture. I literally cannot think of anything that even comes close..

And if you’re a fan of the books then you get both the worst ending ever and the frustration of never getting an ending. It’s the worst of both worlds!

i suppose you mean Netflix's production studio. Netflix itself had been around for quite awhile by that point.

First episode was okay. Fry's voice is noticeably older. It feels more like a new pilot than a good episode on its own right. A bit too meta for my taste. It certainly feels like Futurama,...
