I didn't realize the one I had watched previously wasn't this year's! Given the upload date I assumed it was current.

This one was also great! Good chemistry with the cast, and I wish I could be even 10% as effortlessly cool as Kojey Radical. My husband and I were absolutely howling at the toaster bit.

Also, similar to our previous conversation about Josh Groban, can we talk about how great Alex Horne looks going grey? 😍

I thought you were going to say "as effortlessly cool as Lenny Rush with his six pack of beers and pack of smokes!" But I guess as a teacher, that's probably not something you think is very cool, especially for someone that young. LOL :P

Kojey was great too, but Lenny was by far my favorite that episode. Something about his sense of humor really worked for me, his interactions with Alex and Greg were amazing, and his facial expressions (esp when Greg insulted the other contestants) were gold. He reminds me of my nephew who is similarly expressive, mischievous, quick witted, and joyful.

And yeah, salt & pepper Alex is looking mighty fine. 🤤 His amazing personality and insane sense of humor is just icing on the cake. ;)

Also your nephew sounds awesome! Another cool kid. 😁

Yeah, I know I'm biased as his uncle, but I definitely think my nephew is pretty dang cool. He plays Rep hockey with kids 2 years older than him, races karts in a highly competitive league, and best of all is super polite, and incredibly generous (despite being privileged as heck, and spoiled like crazy since day 1 by all of us). My sister and BiL have done a great job raising him... and I like to think I helped a bit with that too. ;)

p.s. Got another nephew on the way, due in a few months. So looking forwards to being an uncle x2! :)

I simultaneously can't wait until he's older but also don't want him to grow up too fast.

Hey, congrats to you too!! And yeah, that's how I feel about my nephew as well. I love seeing the joy on his face when I give him something he casually mentioned being interested in, or even something he hasn't thought of yet but I knew he would like. It's addicting! :P

And it certainly helps that he has always been genuinely thankful about receiving gifts too, no matter how small they are. He even gets excited when receiving a new pair of socks with his favorite characters on them, and other things of that nature. So he may be spoiled, but he's thankfully not ostentatious, greedy, or demanding. I just hope he holds onto that good nature once he gets to high school and puberty hits.

I think I would make a terrible parent, since I have way too many serious mental health issues that aren't conducive to taking care of a kid full time. But I absolutely love babysitting him for a few days at a time, and being an uncle. All the fun, none of the serious, long-term responsibilities... what's not to love, right!? :P

I can totally see the appeal of being a teacher too. Back when my nephew was a bit younger, and we explained something to him that he didn't know about before, he would get this far off, pondering look in his eyes, and you could actually see him processing the new information. He would often then repeat to himself the thing you just said but worded in a slightly different way, which I found absolutely adorable.

E.g. Telling him grass is green because of chlorophyll, which is what allows it to absorb energy from the sun. And after then explaining what absorb meant, he would look off into space, then a few seconds later say something like "grass is green so it can eat sunlight" quietly to himself... followed by a nod, like he had just thought "yeah, that sounds about right!". :P

WOW is this an incredible show. The attention to silly detail has overwhelmed my brain and I'm obsessed. I've already watched the first three series...I can't stop.

Thanks for sharing! Nice to start the year laughing :)

Hah, yeah it's the exact opposite of serious, and easily my favorite show as a result of how absurd and entertaining it is. :P

p.s. Make sure to watch the "Champion of Champions" specials in between the regular series too, as they're also quite funny. There have been two of them so far, and the third is airing next week (on the 14th).

      The series order goes: 1 • 2 • 3 • 4 • 5 • CoC • 6 • 7 • 8 • 9 • 10 • NYT • 11 • 12 • NYT II • 13 • CoC II • 14 • NYT III • 15 • 16 • NYT IV • CoC III

There is also Taskmaster New Zealand you can watch as well, which is starting to get uploaded now too:

Oh wonderful, thanks for this! At my current pace I'll be on the first CoC by Monday, but with a bit of restraint I won't quite by caught up to watch on the 14th.

I really enjoyed this last year as a meeting if my two favourite Greg's. Might have to take this as an opportunity to watch it again ahead of this year's episode.
