This would let the writers do plots and character development, it'd allow the crew to put everything into those short runs, we would avoid zombie shows, we'd get more variety and I think better content. The advantage for the audience is that you know what you're getting into, and you know this is it, so make the most of it or ignore it.

I agree. The first season had a magic to it that the second season couldn't quite reach. I watched all of season two, but it only made me want the story to end with the finale of season one.

Oh man, I have a coworker who will be crushed. She loved that show so much. I have spent countless hours listening to her talking about it. (I just thought it was OK.)

You mean like the Bri-ish.

I enjoyed the first but couldn't get into the second season. Not sure why. The first episode just didn't hold my attention I guess.

Man I loved Rome but it definitely would have benefited with season 2 split into two seasons.
It lasted about as long Stede Bonnet’s pirate career, so that’s something.

That seems to be the vibe. Either you think it's the best thing ever or it's decent. I tried at least twice to get into it.
