Soresi is brilliant. He's got such a fun stage persona and he's so polished. He'll catch you off-guard with a clever one-liner or a joke that comes out of nowhere. There's no crowd work in this special (that I can remember?), but he uploads clips to YT of him talking to audience members that are also extremely charming and quick-witted.
He's immediately vaulted to the top of my list of progressive comedians, along with James Acaster and Marc Maron. Very funny guy.
Well, now your comment makes me want to see Gianmarco on Taskmaster. Edit: I guess I want anyone that has been involved even tangentially with Dropout content on Taskmaster. It’s a pretty large...

My wife and I are big taskmaster and Dropout nerds and we were talking about how the two shows are different formats of similar content. Spin the Wheel could have been a studio task and the Buzzer Game was one of those tasks that turned the house into a surreal playground. And One Year Later was a near copy of the original Taskmaster from the Edinburgh Festival where Alex would give his friends tasks through the year and make a show of it. Our fear is that the regular cast are probably well primed to be surprised Game Changed and they really need to up the ante to keep people on their toes. My money is on a Jet Lag crossover or a sort of riff on a Grand Tour/Top Grear special in the near future.
I do think the new Dropout show Crowd Control opens up the studio to bait in new Game Changer contestants that are not wise to Sam's tricks. Touring and international comics are invited on for a regular publicity spot. Pitch them a Taskmaster style show but without the time commitment. Neglect to mention that they will be at the mercy of the insane mayor of a musical town.
I'm sure you've seen it but to others, PLEASE look up compilations of him on morning shows! He literally claims jester's privilege, ignores the format, the questions, rants and complains for 15...

I kind of love that Game Changer has become an incubator for show ideas. First "Make Some Noise", now this. Would low-key kind of love a spinoff of the Survivor episodes as their own show with faux drama, tribes, alliances, etc. I haven't watched real Survivor since whenever they did the pirate themed one in the early days, but I would obsessively watch tongue-in-cheek take on it where nobody takes it too seriously.
Play it by Ear is also a spin off I think the survivor one is much harder to do both for legal reasons and because, IMO, it's not sustainable as a long running show. Either you're super...

The YouTube algorithm started showing me his stuff right after my divorce, and damn he quickly became one of my favorites of all time. Excited that he's got a full-length special I can recommend...

Excited that he's got a full-length special I can recommend people now! His clips on YouTube were already gold imo. I saw him live recently when he toured here in Europe and it was a blast.
Gianmarco is one of those guys I expect to be big in the next 10 years. He's young, he's quick, and he's got my values.
He got a part in one of their Big Hollywood Movies! Very minor but with lines, I'll never watch it but good for the lad!

It is absolutely unhinged hahaha
Oh cool! I really enjoyed him in that Game Changer episode. Thanks for sharing, dude is super funny
He's on the second episode of Crowd Control, the spinoff of that Game Changer ep
Oh lawd the good news just keep on coming

I'd settle for a special with a few more episodes than we got. I was left wanting more!
Incredible episode, I was laughing so hard. This whole season has just been a whole new level of fantastic

This was the best special I've watched in months, thank you for the reference!
