It's a brilliant game, but I think I went too hard on trying to explore every little nook and cranny that after I took and extended break over the holidays I just haven't been able to get back into it. Definitely deserved game of the year though. 10/10.
In it's place I've been playing Rogue Legacy 2. I was a fan of the first and just got around to trying the second. It's simple, easy to dive into, and challenging enough that it keeps interesting. Not a masterpiece by any means, but great when you are tired at the end of the day and just want to play something light. 8/10
PS Shout out to Inscryption. One of my favorite games from last year

Edge on the other hand is fast, syncs my bookmarks, easily sends web links between my phone and computer, and my favorite default feature on desktop: vertical tabs!
I've jumped through a lot of different browsers and will probably migrate again. Given the comments in here it sounds like Firefox might be worth a revisit.
I'm still waiting for a web browser that syncs my search hotkeys across devices!

I started Reddit in 2010 and at the time there seemed to be many more thoughtful, well informed, and civil discussions. As Reddit grew, the quality decreased. It's similar to the type of crowd you get at a Walmart vs Whole Foods. There's degrees of quality in communities and Reddit has tipped more towards the Walmart side. There's nothing wrong with that it's just a larger user base. Walmart is fine, but if you have more refined tastes you probably want something else. A more extreme example of this is YouTube. The quality of users there is abysmal in my opinion, but that's the community you get when everyone uses your platform.

Lacking a will, deciding who the money would go to based on an investigation of closed friends would open up a whole can of worms.
I'm not sure what the take away from this article is, but it makes me think that I should write a will (at 30)! -

Super powerful:
- Can search across all notebooks
- Convert any of your notes into word docs or pdf easily
- Best pen writing support I've found in a note taking app
- Great web clipper to clip articles
- Also has an image to text function that has saved hours of my life, by extracting text from an image
The list goes on. It's very robust and I keep coming back to it every time I try a new note taking app that falls short of it's capabilities.

I'm not one to pay for a note taking software when there are so many free ones out there, so this was quite a bummer for me. I quietly packed up my notes and went back to OneNote.
If they ever increase the data cap and instead add features to a premium version to collect revenue, then I'm back in.

Peterson is verbose. He does state fairly obvious advice in an overly complex manner, but his advice isn't bad. I agree I don't think he's "brilliant" or the "greatest modern thinker," but I do think he's highlighting a serious gap in society today. He seems to primarily be giving fatherly advice to a large portion of men in the US that missed that in their youth and now that they're grown up and asking how to live their life - they're looking for a role model or someone with advice. I think that's the gap Peterson fills and I belive that's a positive. If more people took his advice the world would be a better place. The people claiming his genius are likely the people who we're the most in need of his advice and guidance. Those who have received the most benefit from his advice are hyperbolic about the their admiration as a result.

Honestly, commercialization is a part of almost literally everything, I can't get on a bus, airplane, or even walk down the street without seeing an advertisement trying to sell me something.
I see Christmas and a lot of these holidays not as demanding me to buy things, but rather a reminder to celebrate the spirit of the holiday. And who cares if commercialization is apart of Valentine's day, I'll take any arbitrary excuse to remind my wife how much I love her.
As others have said, it looks interesting but the price is steep. It makes me wonder, since they don't run ads, does that mean Google makes something like an average ~$5 a month off of each user in order to pay for everything it does while also massively profiting?
