I want to say it was Australia’s quarantine rules at the time that made the event unrealistic to hold?
Looked it up and actually there were 5 planned races that had to be canceled due to Covid.

Please consider publishing it on the App Store, or setting a reminder to publish a new beta version every 75-80 days, even one with minimal changes, so regular users like myself don’t get disrupted.

The situation before or after the law is far from perfect, but the law is bringing a class of vehicle that previously avoided all road maintenance taxes, and making them pay something. It’s far from perfect, but I’m not convinced it’s a step in the wrong direction.

Semi trucks have more tires so their weight is distributed over a larger area, which surely helps at least a bit. Still, one semi truck will surely do more damage than one car. But frequency matters a lot too, especially given that certain types of roads will not see much truck traffic, yet all roads still need to be maintained.

Gas taxes exist to pay for maintenance to public roads. So BEVs do more damage to the roads, while not paying any gas tax. Because of the weight disparity, it’s not outrageous to ask BEVs to pay more than an equivalent gas-powered car in taxes that go to road maintenance.

But you were still free to present “unfair” information via other means. I think it was a very reasonable way to filter who can use the limited resource that is the RF spectrum - but if they’d attempted to regulate publications in general in that way, I think it would’ve been swiftly shut down by the Supreme Court.

But also I agree that something needs to be done, and I won’t pretend to know what the answer is. Almost certainly, section 230 needs to be modified in some way. Like companies pushing these messages that lead to radicalization and violence should probably be held liable in some way. But I also acknowledge it’s a crazy high bar to prove even partial fault in a case like that, even if they weren’t shielded by section 230 like they currently are. But, outright banning categories of data, or the promotion of that data, is imo far too powerful of a tool for the government to wield, and some future administration would inevitably use it to suppress dissenting voices.

But it's not like the court's only 2 options are to remove him as a candidate everywhere, or overturn the rulings in Colorado and Maine forcing him to be on the ballot everywhere. They could also allow states to decide for themselves.
I think it's worth reading Trump's defense in the Colorado case and this amicus brief written by constitutional scholars and historians
