Except per capita doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if Estonia contributes 100% of its GDP, it still isn't doing as much as a larger country. Estonia not being physically able to support more isn't important.

What matters is equipment and weaponry on the ground in Ukraine, and yes the US provided more. The only reason people want to use % of GDP is to try and "level the playing field" in who provided the most aid. Except it isn't a competition, it's a fight for people's lives and their homes. I don't care if doing it as a % of GDP makes Estonia feel better about themselves because I don't care about how Estonia feels about themselves, I care about Ukraine having the equipment needed to defend themselves.

I remember on reddit a few months into the whole thing Europeans on the Ukraine sub were telling everyone to not post raw $ amounts sent in aid and to express it as a % of GDP because the US was always above everyone else when you did it by raw $ amount.

Western Europe, in my eyes at least, both wants the US to foot the war bill but also look like they're the ones doing the most (without actually doing the most).

That doesn't matter. You trust INCA to not add malicious code to their anticheat for whatever reason. You don't trust Riot to not add malicious core to their anticheat for whatever reason. Why?...

That doesn't matter. You trust INCA to not add malicious code to their anticheat for whatever reason. You don't trust Riot to not add malicious core to their anticheat for whatever reason.

Why? What makes INCA more trustworthy in your eyes than Riot?

Just because there is an extra company between you and INCA is not a reason to trust them more. They are just as capable of adding malicious code to their anticheat as Riot is. You have absolutely no guarantee that Arrowhead or whatever other company between you and INCA won't be in on it with INCA either.

If you trust nProtect but don't trust Vanguard you are being inconsistent. Both are kernel level anticheats and both are just as likely to be malicious.

I would just like to note for anybody in the future who reads this, Vanguard is not the only kernel level anticheat. Easy Anti Cheat and BattlEye are both kernel level as well and are extremely common among games. Some less common ones include nProtect GameGuard, PunkBuster, XIGNCODE3, and Ricochet. People who complain about Vanguard being kernel level but don't complain about the multitude of others are uninformed about anti cheat software. All of them theoretically have the same permissions if I remember correctly.

The big difference with Vanguard is that it runs at startup and stays on even while Valorant (and now League) is closed. The main problems with it from what I remember is that it (used to?) flag legitimate drivers on accident.

For a gaming desktop, honestly I don't think it matters too much so long as you don't pick a specialized distro. Could honestly just use Mint as well, since it'll be easy.

I didn't watch 4 (I didn't even know it existed actually), but I think people take their movies/tv shows/books/whatever entertainment too seriously sometimes. Something can have bad writing, bad acting, and a bad plot and still be enjoyable to watch.

I've watched quite a fair share of bad media that I enjoyed because I could laugh, or just sit back and turn my brain off for an hour or two. Not everything needs to be a thought provoking story. Sometimes I just want to see good guys shoot at bad guys.

Don't most social media already not allow children 13 and younger? I know that that isn't exactly enforced, but this mostly seems like codifying already existing policy into law (not that that is necessarily a good thing).

I'm somewhat torn on these laws, as I understand the downsides of social media in children/teens, but I'm also rather concerned about the privacy implications of websites needing to confirm your age. It's a much tougher issue to figure out where I stand on it than I would expect.

I'll join the Discord later, but I'm a fairly experienced Storyteller (I'm an OG backer of the game and have probably around 60 games ran under my belt and a large number of hours watching other games) and I'd consider restarting my subscription if we needed another one.

For anyone who doesn't know, Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game, like Werewolf/Mafia, but on steroids. Everyone has a unique role, and player elimination isn't as big of a thing as you continue participating even after you die (some of the roles even want to die early!). I highly recommend it.

You probably don't really need Grammarly. Since English isn't your first language, you probably learned to write it the "correct" way rather than relying on slang/shorthand (which is how native speakers tend to write).

If the reason you need to write English more is because you're traveling, you'll probably be fine. If you do need your writing to be more proper, then the free Grammarly tier you've been using is probably fine.
