Definitely should have included a disclaimer for that one. Or at the very least added emphasis to the IMDb synopsis for the words traumatic and rape. Nearly two decades after watching it, the two infamous scenes still stand out as some of the most graphic (because they look so real) I've ever seen.

I'll have to check out The Pope's Toilet (2007) based off the name alone, but it can't hurt that one of the directors was the cinematographer on City of God (2002).

We've got a campsite in Texas for this one and are more than willing to drive more in case of clouds or other issues. Be sure to have protective eye wear though.

Lawrence, Kansas's own The Appleseed Cast's (Post-Rock / Indie Rock) lead singer, Chris Crisci had (has?) a side project that is also really good, Old Canes (Folk Rock).

Old Canes began in 2004 as a new project for Appleseed Cast front man Chris Crisci. It was born out of a few acoustic melodies he had written and performed impromptu when Appleseed Cast was uncharacteristically asked to perform acoustically at an in-store performance in Europe.

My post in the weekly TV thread from a few weeks ago:

I've been going through all of David Attenborough's Life series (Planet Earth before Planet Earth):
    Life on Earth (1979)
    The Living Planet (1984)
    The Trials of Life (1990)
    Life in the Freezer (1993)
The Private Life of Plants (1995)
The Life of Birds (1998) - still need to watch
    The Life of Mammals (2002)
    Life in the Undergrowth (2005)
Life in Cold Blood (2008) - still need to watch

These all hold up very well. I especially liked the quintessential 1990's intro for The Trials of Life.

Still need to watch the two mentioned above, but I've added The Miracle of Bali (1969) and The Tribal Eye (1975) to the list of stuff I've watched. The first was okay, but Tribal Eye was great! Planet Earth III is currently airing in the UK, not positive if it's airing here in the states yet (I torrent everything). I read somewhere, no idea where, that this will be his last series. At 97 years old, I'm in awe of how good he still looks and sounds.

Edit: "this will be his last" I may have conflated the reddit thread linked below's title with David himself. This being the last in the Planet Earth series, not necessarily David's last series.
