I have no affiliation to either direction, I just know what I've seen about the build-up of this and am basing what I said on that. To me it looks like the big companies are actually at fault here for pushing agenda, which seems in line with another situation in anime recently and localization workers.

To me, the push for inclusiveness is going a bit over board for me personally as it seems shoved down our throats at this point.

From my understanding, it's deeper than that. There was a steam group made to list all the games Sweet Baby Inc a consulting firm was involved with because some of the games they have consulted with have crossed the line for some people (making up new Spanish words and removing or changing things in games to suit different countries ideals for gender issues as in Spiderman 2). After that group was made, Sweet Baby and the people who follow them came together to harass, and even tried to get them banned from steam account and all, the user who made the group. The motion failed and has now had this massive blowback in their faces from all the gamers who are tired of having political correctness and gender issues forced into their games from these consulting agencies.

Tldr: Sweet Baby Inc kicked a giant dormant bee hive, and now the murder hornets are running loose, leading to companies saying they are now the victims of the story.

Tale as old as time, really.

I had a pixel 6 at launch and was one of the lucky ones that didn't have problems. Though as time and updates went on, it would have random issues like high battery drain until the next update or running slow for a month here and there. The battery started to swell at the end of last year, so I switched to a galaxy phone and I'm so glad I dropped the pixel. This is just another long line of issues those phones seem to have because Google doesn't seem to check their updates enough and just shove them out the door haphazardly.

This is where I am too, my computer is more than capable of running windows 11 but because of an "older" cpu I can't. For me though it's whatever because it's mostly just a gaming rig anyway.

It's a problem because for our current economy and government systems to work the way it does it requires there to be a bigger working force then not. If it comes too close to not enough people working and there's a lot of people pulling resources without putting anything back in the system starts to collapse because there's not enough being made or produced to sustain everyone. You're right that automation alleviates that however all those people that used to work and pay taxes are no longer doing that so that's all lost tax revenue which our government needs to function. Unless legislation is passed to tax companies for using automation to recoup that loss, highly unlikely as companies will fight tooth and nail against it, the government won't have enough taxes coming in to do what it normally does.

Dislikes console exclusive but just released a game as an Xbox PC exclusive. I don't trust they will let any big releases come out on anything other than their own console and PC Since it's not just on Xbox they will try to say it's not "console exclusive because it's on another platform as well" which while true it's still their own platform at the end of the day. I'm not fully against them buying Acti-blizz because they haven't really been doing that great as of late, most things are PC anyway other than CoD, so I'm kind of hoping they can get them back on track to where they used to be as a developer and not how they have been in more recent years I feel because of Activision. At the same time I don't trust they will put much on PlayStation or Nintendo because it's competition for their own platforms.

My brother used to work on cars for work and after doing it for a couple years and talking to more experienced people he went in a different direction. Basically everything requires you to reset SOMETHING on the computer anymore and is just getting worse. The head mechanic at the place he worked told him it's not a bad idea to leave the field because of how overly complicated and how many sensors are on every little thing anymore.

The other half of the bill would have changed having to get a petition signed in I believe only half the counties currently to having to get a petition signed in all counties to get something on the ballot to be voted on which then needs the super majority vote to pass. I feel like Ohio would be dead locked for it's constitution if issue 1 passed.

I did the opposite. I stayed logged in but instead unsubscribed from everything but the modcoord sub to just check in on the train wreck once in a while. I would now have to go out of my way to search all the subs I want to look at which for me was enough to keep me off Reddit. I also only use old.reddit and only on my phone so the user experience is garbage compared up RIF which is what I used for I think 8-9 years.
