I am taking my 70 year old mother on a guided trip to Spain and Portugal. She is very excited. The trip starts in Barcelona, goes down the cost and over to Lisbon and Porto and then ends in Madrid. We then plan on taking a train to the coast. Before going back to Barcelona and traveling home

    I have three main questions

    1. Can I bring my unlocked pixel 5a and add a secondary sim card? How does that work?
    2. Are there any must have items I should pack that I may not think of?
    3. Anyone have any advice for me?

This is my first trip to mainland Europe, and probably her last international trip so I want it to be easy, stress free and memorable.

Sometimes mine is too oily or not salty enough. It's been the tastiest trial and error. All bread is still bread :) I have gotten a lot better, but I also have bought a lot of tools.

I love baking, I'm not good at it but I love it. It was nice to have something turn out.

I am still wearing a lot of tshirts I wore 20 years ago. Back then they were a lot baggier than now. My uniform is a Tshirt and jeans with vans or a Tshirt and knee length shorts with Birkenstocks. If it's cold I have a couple of flannels.

For work, my uniform is a patterned ladies Tshirt with a cardigan, jeans and bobs.

I have never been very stylish so I do my best to just match.

The city is pressuring the company I work for very hard to make us all come back. They own three buildings downtown. Right now two of them are pretty much sitting empty in the third is maybe 10% full couple days a week. I wouldn't be surprised if the city threatened their tax credits and stuff like that. There have been small business owners blaming the company I work by name for for them going under or struggling.

They have tried to entice us to come in. That didn't work. Some departments are starting to require two days a week. For the most part though no one is budging. I was on one of the teams that required hybrid and I would just spend the day on video calls because I work with a lot of remote workers all over the country and people on teams that were not required to come in.

I feel the tide turning though and I think the pressure to come in is going to increase as the pressure from the city increases.

    I have three.

Marvel Team-Up #62 - Spiderman and Ms Marvel. It was my first comic, given to me by a friend because I loved the Spiderman cartoon. It was my introduction to carol and collecting comics.

The Uncanny X-Men #123 - when I first met my husband the big thing we bonded over was playing X-Men legends. MURDER WORLD! Became this inside joke. For our second anniversary he bought me that comic.

New Mutants 98 - it's iconic. First appearance of Deadpool. My old coworker got it for me for my birthday back before Deadpool mattered.

I actually sorted through my collection last night. It's overwhelming the number of comics I have. Collecting gave me such joy, but having a collection gives me anxiety. Unfortunately, it seems my tastes and everyone else's don't align since most of it is not worth much.

If anyone is super into Aquaman, Batman beyond, spiderman, Joss Wheaton properties, ms. Marvel (carol), Captain Marvel (carol), X23 and the entirety of the Civil war with all tie-ins... Hit me up?

I went to high-school in Florida, on the Atlantic coast from 1999-2003. My science teachers hammered into us that the icecaps were melting, and global warming was happening. The problem is, they also told us that it was so dire that the Florida coast would all be under water in 15-20 year. If we wanted beach front property in 2020 we would need to go 30 miles inland. It was terrifying, and it didn't end up happening. Those kind of doomsday predictions don't help, because your right, they make people question everything else.

Trust on all fronts is at an all-time low.

My Dad came to visit and brought me a 4tb drive filled with music and movies he has torrented over the years. One of the bands was called grumpy fish. They are all covers of alt-rock songs. (the same as in the video) He has no idea when or how he downloaded them. I am guessing they are some sort of local cover band, but I like their sound and their name. I am also curious if the singer ever headed any other bands.

The only thing I can find is one youtube video
Grumpy Fish plays the opening ceremonies of the Georgia Games at The Georgia Dome. Grumpy Fish is Michael Meredith (vocals), Richard Gibson (Guitar), Jeff Fortin (Bass), and Steve Barnes (Drums).

The video is on the drummer's youtube channel, or at least someone with the same name. He has not been active in a while, and his Wiki doesn't mention being a drummer. I don't know, it all just got me curious, so I thought I would see if by some miracle someone on here might have heard of them.

I think my mother is more disappointed then she lets on, which makes me feel guilty. I feel like I am being selfish, but then at the same time guilt is not a reason to bring a life into the world.

Thought I may as well get this party started. What is going on in everyone's life right now?

    I'll start.

Today is my birthday, and I am now 38. Officially in my late 30s, and getting ever closer to that big 4-0.

I have never been one to worry so much about my age, but it is hitting me today. Things hurt that didn't used to hurt. I have a few crinkles around my eyes. I also have started getting those little red dots on my back and shoulders (no idea what that is about). My hair is around 40% grey. I have not taken care of myself as I should have. Even though I have never wanted kids it's weird to think that the window is rapidly closing on that. I have more money but also more problems, more home repairs and honestly more life repairs from my 20s. I guess I am just being a bit more reflective than usual.

So where are you in life? And how are you feeling about it?

Probably about 10 or so years. It used to include a lot of bike riding but we are a bit squishier than we used to be.
