Casually, "skate" clothing. Skate shoes are incredibly comfortable, supportive, and stylish, and there are tons of different brands that are trying their own styles. You can throw a flannel on any t-shirt. Skinny pants are so comfortable as well, chinos or jeans.

Professionally, button-down shirts with the correct fit never fail. Throw a tie on if you have a meeting. Just need to make sure everything is ironed and fits well. I'm a sucker for english boots such as Clarks which can match anything as well.

I live in my DVS shoes casually. Professionally I am slightly more dressed up in hiking boots and some slightly less baggy jeans.

Agree on all! Ever tried Vans Half Cab Mids? Comfiest shoes I've ever worn.

They're the gold standard now. I miss ès shoes though. Square Ones were perfect but they aren't produced anymore.

I am pretty basic. I work mostly from home, so 90% of what I wear is chino shorts with a tshirt + a hoody / fleece / three-quarter zip when it's cooler. In the winter I swap to jogging bottoms.

When I do go to the office, it's really relaxed and most of my colleagues wear chinos, jeans, shorts or whatever other comfortable trousers (some wear sports trousers) and usually running shoes or some other kind of comfortable footwear. I tend to stick to my shorts and hoodie, but occasionally bust out a button-down shirt.

If I have to dress up a little, I'll go with black jeans or chinos and a button-down shirt.

    Footwear is one of:

    • Crocs (again, I work from home so I just use my Crocs to pop out to the garden, for a quick walk or - to my partner's despair - for quick runs to the shop.
    • White leather shoes. Think Adidas Stan Smith style, but I actually have a store-brand knock off version that I like.
    • Clarks Desert Boots. Really comfortable and go well with jeans and chinos.
    • Trainers (currently I have some old Air Force Ones that I got on offer)

I really don't want to spend energy on trying to look good, but I'm also not someone who claims to not care what I look like. All I want is to look reasonably well put together with minimum effort.

My current motto is "don't over-commit to any one version of yourself". So that includes not over-committing to any particular style-- meaning, I might be in love with a particular type of clothing at the moment, but I should not buy too many things because of that. I think I've had a tendency to really really like something, and then wear it as a "uniform" for a while, and then end up buying too many pieces that look very similar to each other (so that I have "backups"). I'm trying to be more conscious about that.

I've loved many styles over the years. And occasionally go back to a style I enjoyed in the past.

For many years I had a particular look-- I had very long hair (almost down to my knees) and I wore kimonos a lot (I design my own). I got tired of maintaining the long hair, and now I have shoulder-length hair. Cutting my hair to a more practical length actually helped me be more active and consistent with working out! And so these days I'm usually in athleisure / techwear-looking outfits. But also lately I've been feeling drawn back into the Y2K style of my teens (with both music and clothing).

Personally, I wear what I feel. Over the winter/spring, I've been moving into a techwear style, since I love the urban explorer look and it's been kinda nice for my traveling recently. But I also do really love streetwear and sneaker culture in general so on lazy (read: most) days I'll throw on stuff that's less complicated.

Recently I was in Japan and I've been wanting to do some East meets West blends, and I picked up a couple of things from there, but I also want to try to get into making clothes, so I'm hoping to blend into some custom things in my closet.

I guess my style is skateboard-y brands. Mostly because they're really durable and comfy for the price. Don't care if anyone calls me a poser ;)

I've generally always just worn jeans and a tshirt. Lately I've been really into button down shirts but the weather at the moment doesn't really allow for it haha. I've been pretty fond of wearing "combat" boots (air quotes because they're military style boots but they've never seen combat. I use them for work). I never really had the desire to express myself via clothing so jeans and t shirt was easy and inconspicuous. Love wearing leather jackets in winter though.

My usual style is best described as "inexpensive". If there are high quality and/or branded items in my wardrobe (they must never have huge logos), I came upon them inexpensively. I also try not to buy low quality things but they are hard to avoid. I probably only have one piece of clothing that was bought in-season at a high price, and that was for an "emergency" wear because the airline lost my original inexpensive outfit.

My style probably hasn't changed much since the early 00s to be honest. Skipped skinny jeans entirely and nowadays it feels like anything goes.

    How'd I get this way.

One time when I was young, I bought myself the world's smallest cellphone, at a time before smartphones made big good again. I did get some compliments and some wows but it was very fleeting and it wasn't worth it. That early experience, I think, innoculated me against owning things to impress others. No one is going to really care that about much your stuff. Especially nowadays when everyone can just go into debt for disposable garbage. The money is far better spent on loved ones who would be impressed by little things like me cracking a good joke, or a particularly good move in a board game.

I wear almost the same thing every day when I don't have to doll up.

    • skinny / slim jeans -- raw or selvedge (either Naked and Famous or 100% cotton Levis 511s I've collected over the years.) Wearing 32x36 makes it tough, but not too tough. Levis is shit now, though, so its mostly N&F or similar labels.
    • triblend tshirt --- either American Apparel or LA Apparel. Lately I've been wearing some from Uniqlo that are really nice. I wholesale the main ones, so I have a lot of them.
    • sweatshirt if its cooler
    • if its warmer, either just the t or a button up
    • Shoes --- Onitsuka Tigers (Mexico 66) in black and brown leather, these white nikes that I think are reps (I got them at VV for $30), or L.L. Bean Katahdin Iron Works boots
    • Watches --- a mish-mash of Times, Casio, etc with NATOs (like this gem).
    • I have a really nice leather fanny pack that I sometimes use in the warmer months.

For jeans, I always blow out the outside of the left knee, so all of my jeans have been fixed up proper.

Ultimately, everything is fitted, as it should be. Nothing fancy or expensive. I went with this style because it suits my body type (tall and relatively slim.) I only want things that are well-made and repairable... so this where I ended up.

I guess I have a couple different styles I rotate between.

At work, fitted white button down, top two buttons undone, v-neck tee underneath. Sleeves rolled up depending on the vibe. Dark slacks or darkwash jeans. Our office dress code is kind kind of relaxed but many people I interact with are suits. The white button down is also kind of symbolic to me of the problems that capitalism has wrought on our society.. something like a subversive conformism that makes me happy. I also look forward to the day when I don't have to put one on again.

When we aren't in very or or cold seasons I default to a dark tee, usually a metal band, light blue jeans ( no destructed look, just well fitting blue jeans) and different versions of white adidas sneakers. I have a couple favorite hoodies as well. Aside from bands I avoid any branding on my clothing. The couple of exceptions are businesses owned by friends of mine (generally lifting associated). Alternatively just a plain white tee, usually v-neck. I have a pair of blue aviators that are probably my signature and I like a black or "heather grey" beanie if it's chilly (bald). And a timex watch.

Really hot days I like a black or white tank and colorful shorts. During the winter I love sweaters, especially a black guernsey. Jackets are kind of varied but I guess my default is a black leather jacket with a white stripe across the chest.

I guess my style is a bit of a blend between workwear and rocker styling. It's nothing very unique but I like how I look and don't have to think too hard about what to put on in the morning.

I have a uniform, sort of. I just don't wear the same color all the time.

I wear the same brand of T-shirt so I just pick a shirt. I get different colors, and occasionally have to get rid of one that fits significantly different. Currently it's all Fresh Clean Threads because they're priced reasonably, and their material is great, it's like a tri-weave, but not. I have like 15 of their shirts in everything from olive drab to pink because I just like colors, and polo shirts for work.

Lower it's some sort of slightly stretchy jean (I'm a tall flexible fat man) or cargo shorts, unless I'm sitting at home, then it's a T-shirt and basketball shorts/sweats in the winter.

The most thought I put into my clothes are avoiding super bright colors if there are going to be photos after a bright green shirt washed out a picture, but it's sort of like the minimalist uniform concept. I consider weather, conditions, grab my clothes, and go.

Shoes? Probably a pair of minimalist sandals, or shoes I have if I expect I'll be walking for a while, and that's mostly to keep the sun off my feet.

Amazon Basics, bruh. I've tried so many other brands and these are about as good as they get and their price point is like $6/shirt and easily last me 60-70 washings, if not more.

A lot of my style these days comes from the swing dance scene; wide leg pants, undershirts + linen shirts.

Especially during hot summers like this one, this sort of clothing is way more comfortable and cooling vs. shorts and shirts with all of your skin at the mercy of the relentless sun.

I am still wearing a lot of tshirts I wore 20 years ago. Back then they were a lot baggier than now. My uniform is a Tshirt and jeans with vans or a Tshirt and knee length shorts with Birkenstocks. If it's cold I have a couple of flannels.

For work, my uniform is a patterned ladies Tshirt with a cardigan, jeans and bobs.

I have never been very stylish so I do my best to just match.

Bowling shirts are pretty good at not retaining the sweat that the Florida heat will squeeze out of you, so I stick to those. I've also recently taken the plunge on wearing shorts when out walking. Stylistically, I prefer long pants though, which means usually jeans. When it's actually nice out, aka winter, I wear long sleeve synthetic shirts. I was really into black clothing until... my mid 20's? I have a couple of Tripp jackets still kicking around here somewhere. I still don't care for bright colors, but I don't mind white. As far as footwear? Either none, or Barebottoms.

My style is "thrift store". I prefer function and comfort over actual style and wear a mix of men's and women's clothing, so I "make up for it" by wearing a lot of deep/bright contrasting colors and patterns. So basically I look like someone who shops at the thrift store. I am also actually poor; even Target is kind of a luxury for me. 90% of my clothes have to come from thrift stores anyway because I can't afford retail prices, but I could make more of an effort to wear actual styled pieces if I cared. I do buy formal wear from decent brands like Ann Taylor or Talbots when I can find them so I don't look like a goofball at weddings/funerals/interviews.

Mine varies by season and situation. At work, it's a button-up for three seasons, and a linen for summer. I like to accent with tweed when weather permits. Comfy slip-on shoes whenever I can. When I wear a hat, it's a low-profile wedge.

Off-hours in public, it's artsy printed T's and coarse knit pullovers.

In private, I'm all about jinbei as loungewear. It's not a weeb thing; they're just so damn comfortable.
