I've really been enjoying Glass Road recently, it's got a neat system of action selection that I've only seen in one other game, and the resource system is also pretty unique. It's great as a quicker Rosenberg game that still has some depth (compared to Bohnanza, not a huge fan).

Having corporate responses being opt in to allow would essentially be a blanket ban though, since most posters probably wouldn't notice it, and with such limited participation available I don't think the companies would have any incentive to have a presence in the first place. I think corporate accounts can be really well-managed, there are some really good reps on /r/boardgames for instance that are actively involved in the community outside of posts relating to their games. Most of those started as personal accounts that get special flair, maybe that's something to consider?

Sadly, I only got to play this guy for two sessions before the group split up, but my favorite is Bombous, the Sorceror from a Wizard family who'd flunked out of wizard school. Everything I did was playing as a super flashy Wizard, it was in 3.5 so I used up all my cantrips at the end of each day to Arcane Mark every single thing I owned so that when magic hit I'd just start glowing with the word "Wizard"

Going Postal by Terry Pratchett right now. I've been picking up reading a lot more recently, been getting the girl I'm seeing into Discworld and I've gotten the bug to go back through and read them again. So far she's read Equal Rites and Monstrous Regiment, I think next I'm going to suggest Guards! Guards! to get her on the City Watch stories.

I also recently finished up the Fifth Season series by NK Jemisin, I really liked the world she built but I think the final book was a little disappointing.

Ah, sorry, didn't mean to be awkward! I'm just always curious about what people consider to be northern MN, I've had people describe Alexandria as north which is a little ridiculous for me.

What part of the north? I'm from the NW corner, over near Grand Forks/TRF area.

I've been out of the MTG scene for a while but I'm going to try to follow today in the background while I work. I'm really interested in how things go with the PT pushed back a few weeks from release, it doesn't sound like we're expecting any breakout decks to pop up. It should be starting right about now, the stream is available on Twitch.

I like this, but I think it's still unfortunately vague enough to cause complaints. That's just part of moderation though, if you draw a line in the sand you'll constantly have arguing that they didn't actually cross it, if you leave things up to moderator discretion you get people complaining about how subjective everything is. I do really like the wording you used though, I'm probably going to steal this going forward.

I'll have to take a look. I've stepped back from Magic and I'm not sure if I'm ready to get back into a collectible game, but this one has had me interested for a while.

For a deck builder you'd be talking something more like Dominion, where everyone starts with the same deck of 10 or so cards and buy cards from a market to upgrade their deck as the game progresses. I would recommend Dominion for OP though, it's often described as multi-player solitaire so it avoids a lot of the conflict they seem to avoid!

I've looked at getting into the X-Wing game, but the cost was just too much for me to get past. Is the relaunch just going to be increasing supply? Or are they making significant rules changes?
