I've written long-form fiction in the past, but I always end up flying by the seat of my pants. Because of that, my projects are always much shorter than I intended or I just abandon them. This time, I'm going to set aside time to flesh out a full outline, as I've found that has really helped me with my freelancing. I've been pitching a few ideas to friends, and I think I've settled on the premise that I want to write. I'm scheduling myself for the book's first writing session this weekend. Should be fun!

I'll keep an eye on it once it releases.

I would appreciate faster response time, and cheap, consumer-grade color devices would be a perk, but it's definitely gotten to a point where I am more than content with the device I have. Heck, that's probably why the tech has moved slowly — there's just no real consumer demand for bleeding-edge products in this market.

I haven't had the same experience when joining leagues with randos -- that usually ends up with playlists full of very popular music or very specific tastes. Having a dozen or so people with tastes you're familiar with and who are all trying to keep things fresh works pretty well, though sometimes the popular/obvious choice is just too good to pass up.

A train wreck like this could actually end up going a little viral, whereas just not responding to user complaints would have probably limited bad press at least until the IPO, which is all they care about. I'm guessing Steve has a bit of a Caesar complex at this point and thought he would be able to handle this, even if it was a little messy. He was the only person who didn't understand that there was really only one outcome.

Both are great overall, and so far they cover each other's blindspots very well. Xbox controller fills its role nicely, as well.

They're not masterpieces, but they are pretty fun shooters with nutso plots. The shield mechanic is a bit clunky in the first game, but I like the laser version in the sequel. I also appreciate the infinite continues allowed by both games, since I'm not particularly good at the game.
I've been kind of intentionally avoiding the bigger titles, so I haven't played too many others that I've enjoyed. The biggest exception is ChuChu Rocket!, which is really fun! I wish I had more of a chance to really get into the multiplayer, since it's absolutely nuts.

I am worried that the Wild Area will be a shallow gimmick that they hastily implemented halfway through development when they heard that fans wanted them to look to BotW for inspiration. I hope I'm wrong, but it just feels like a half-measure that will please no one.

It really worked for me.

I gave a couple concrete examples of how you in particular have ignored evidence of one thing because you didn't wanted to believe it, and another thing that is unsubstantiated by any evidence but you believe it because you want it to be true. Please address those points before setting up a pseudo-philosophical straw-man.

It seems to have arisen from concentrated efforts on the far-right targeting impressionable young men on the internet--e.g. Bannon co-opting "Gamer-Gate" and StormFront secretly invading/brigading online communities. I think it really twists your worldview. I've noticed, OP, that you openly refer to your own news sources as, "propaganda," and you probably think that this makes you more self-aware than people who call their primary media, "news." Really, though, I think you're making a false equivalency. You are constructing a situation where no information is truly reliable, so you get to choose what is true. You therefore believe that an investigation that has indicted multiple people and gotten several guilty pleas is a, "sham," despite the evidence I just stated, while at the same time believing that Obama personally directed the DOJ to put a spy in the Trump campaign despite there being absolutely no evidence for any part of that.

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. I am very much a part-time freelancer. I work in vocational rehab, mostly with high school students, so I'm education-adjacent as well, with a similar schedule. I probably have less take-home work, though.
My writing schedule usually looks something like this: I wake up a little earlier than I need to and write 10 pitches. I turn off the self-editor and just let the bad ideas flow. If I have time, I might look over something I wrote recently to punch it up, but that's unusual. In the evening while watching TV, I'll work on an outline for an assignment or actually write one at a very slow pace. On the weekend, I usually pick a few hours to get out of the house and go to a coffee shop or brewery or something and put my nose to the grindstone. I understand that this schedule wouldn't work for everyone, and it might eventually stop working for me.
I wish I had a good answer for you. I relate to what you're saying. That's sometimes how I feel as well. I often say that, for someone who claims to love writing, I hate actually writing.
I think what's working for me now is that my work is actually pretty structured. If one of my pitches gets accepted, I usually have a template for it and can get started right away. It sort of lowers the mental energy threshold for starting the task and lets me get to the fun part of writing. That's obviously not always possible, and I find that I procrastinate more on assignments that are more off the beaten path. Additionally, I write more when I am in a good place with my mental and physical health. When I'm stressed out because of work, my output drops significantly.
I hope that you found something useful in all of that rambling, and I wish you luck in the future. Adult life might mean being responsible, but it doesn't have to mean being miserable.
