- Nobara Linux
- Heroic Game Launcher
- Wine: GE-Proton_latest
- Graphic Mode Settings:
- OpenGL
- Full Screen unchecked (ALT-tabbing causes the game window to un-fullscreen and re-orients between my two monitors)
- normal3x scaling
- 1920 x 1200 resolution (doesn't go higher than this)
- Mouse Sensitivity to 60 (the default 100 is way too fast)
First impressions so far is that the voice acting and general vibe of the game is top notch. Makes me wish I knew more French, but the subtitles are nice when they do pop up. I will most likely be using the tips, manual, and guide @kfwyre posted (thank you for that!) whenever I get stuck, which honestly, will be often is my guess. Also, not sure if I missed this discussion already, but what's the average time to beat for anyone who's played this their first time. howlongtobeat is saying 7 hours but I have my doubts on that...

I've always been a big baby when it comes to playing horror games, but being a recent enjoyer of horror films, I feel obligated to give their video game counterparts a chance. I also agree that this would be a great pick for October!

Being able to do a quick restart without having to go into the menu is a nice feature to have as you can easily mess up a drift or go flying off stage. The drift mechanic is also sort of like Mario Kart where you get a boost the longer you drift, but it stacks so if you do another drift and keep boosting you kind of start to go insanely fast (which leads to flying off stage).

It's also very faithful to the original from what I read online with the option to play with the original controls or a more modern style. For me personally, it's more of an excuse to play on the GameCube more đ

With that being said I'd like to nominate two classics I've never had the chance to play on the system:
As for arcade games I'd like to nominate Sega Rally Championship because even though it's one of my favorite arcade racers, I'm admittedly pretty bad at it and would love to hear if anyone can get past the Mountain stage.

As for accessories, I highly recommend getting a bag of the little plastic balls they sell to retain the water for long cook times. I've read it works better than a lid as the moisture that escapes from where the sous vide is placed could potentially damage the device.

I've fried them in some butter and eaten them like a steak.
I've managed to finf them growing in the same spot after a heavy rain in mid to late September.

Morels are rare where I live and chanterelles not so rare, but only sprout up around summer, so not so pleasant to forage when it's hot and humid outside.

One of the ways to help identify a mushroom species is by its spore print (leave the cap on a piece of paper or aluminum foil overnight and see what color you get after the spores have dropped) Spore Prince is just a play on words of that. :)

A tip I found in the manual posted by @kfwyre that might help you to catch up to someone walking away is to double click the screen and your character will start to auto walk. You can cancel this by clicking (or maybe right clicking?) the screen. Essentially, it's a way to "quick travel" to the next car, but I've been using it as a quick way of navigating even in the same train car.
