As for accessories, I highly recommend getting a bag of the little plastic balls they sell to retain the water for long cook times. I've read it works better than a lid as the moisture that escapes from where the sous vide is placed could potentially damage the device.

Giant Puffballs are another one I've had luck with finding a few times now and I find them delicious! As long as they're still all white in the inside, they taste great. I've fried them in some butter and eaten them like a steak.

I've managed to finf them growing in the same spot after a heavy rain in mid to late September.

Hen of the woods, or also called maitake, have been my favorite since they're so delicious and fairly easy to identify! Bucket list forage are morels and chanterelles. Morels are rare where I live and chanterelles not so rare, but only sprout up around summer, so not so pleasant to forage when it's hot and humid outside.

I got into mushroom foraging around the beginning of the pandemic. One of the ways to help identify a mushroom species is by its spore print (leave the cap on a piece of paper or aluminum foil overnight and see what color you get after the spores have dropped) Spore Prince is just a play on words of that. :)

This is a great video I recommend that dives into this topic more. It's been awhile since I've watched it, but I believe he recommends disguising oneself as a traveling priest/monk.

In Japanese, they have a word with no real distinction between the 2 colors (Ao or 青). It's really interesting topic, and if anyone is curious this article talks more about it.

Kind of an obvious one, but when I'm in the mood to listen to a podcast or audio book driving along long stretches of highways really sets the mood for me. Being able to level up and hire drivers to expand your trucker empire is also a nice reward!

I actually found this page really neat, but I do have a bit of an obsession with fungi haha

    A couple of interesting things:
The Coprinopsis genus name literally means living on dung which, of course, there are quiet a few of those species in that gallery. Some mushrooms that grow on dung range from the infamous magic mushrooms (Psilocybe cubensis) to commercially sold white mushrooms from the grocery store (Agaricus bisporus). There are even some species that are edible but alcohol should be avoided before and after consuming those .

Anyway, sorry for the ramble. I'll end this by saying mushrooms are neat!

Highly recommend Brotato for the same reasons. I switch between this and Vampire Survivors on the Steam Deck and they're extremely addicting.

I follow a similar recipe as well, but I sometimes like to add about a Tbsp of mustard powder. It adds a bit of spiciness and tanginess.
