Here he works with building a RC plane with odd looking wing setups for STOL.

I have a mach e and it is only the eye tracking unless it is below some confidence threshold. It also has a torque sensor but one hand can do it if hands free is unavailable. I think it is a good way to go. You still have to look forward no matter what it is asking of your hands.

The original teslas driver being able to defeat the system with an orange was silly, tesla should have thought about what an idiot would try.

I went back in 2001 and liked the Arizona memorial (Pearl Harbor and WWII is something that really interest me). I did the Polynesian Cultural Center and would recommend it but is is a touristy thing just for the Luau and food. Saw a free Hula Dance on the beach of Waikiki which was a very nice surprise. But the thing I remember the most is hiking to the top of Diamond Head. If you do that and walk on Waikiki beach for the rest of your life you will see both views in photos or on TV and it will bring back a fond memory.

Disneyworld put in a system like this a few years ago as a way to move people even though they have busses and some boats along the same routes. I have to say I was not really into it when it was proposed but the final product is so nice. Gentle and soothing way to move with low wait times. Floating above the streets in Pars would be a great way to shave some time off a longer walk!

Milan was the biggest one I was unsure about but there is an option to go on a walking tour on the TOP of the Milan Duomo. I love visiting cathedrals in Europe anyway and Milan's is great, but I have never been up among the gargoyles.

Venice is beautiful but get out early and see St Mark's square before it gets too full. Yes there are lots of tourists but the same is true of all amazing places. It is worth seeing. Now for eating get away from the touristy places a bit.

It is a paypal problem but you used paypal as an example of how you can send money easily. The other replies and mine are saying that isn't always so.

Maybe the "paypal crypto" is but sending money to someone in Cameroon or another area paypal doesn't offer service to is actually something crypto can do.

Interesting. I have gone to Ghana with a NGO as a volunteer for a group that offers cataract surgeries to those who need it for free.

My take would be not that they perceptionally "owe" us to do better but that we see that there is much more of a possibility that things can get better there with continued help and education. Change seems like a reality in many ways there. China on the other hand seems like a different beast.

    2. Spain is wonderful and pretty affordable to visit. The biggest thing I learned as an American visiting was that things move at a slower pace (and that is wonderful). Also to split the day into 2 parts. Go out and do something earlier in the day and then return back to home base for the hottest part of mid day. Then go out again in the evening. Dinner was often a thing we would start to think about after 9pm!

If you eat meat and there is a tapas place that has a leg of Jamon Iberico on the counter eat some.

I think it is wonderful you are going with your mother. Great memories will be made!

I am a 180 from you. Most of the stories I have loved in the past decade are from those shows that have the time to develop characters and can play with subtle story lines. I get that the wait can be annoying but the journey in a show like "Better Call Saul" was way worth it even though the wait was tremendous.

In a scary (to me) scenario, my local home community in an old town downtown is having some signs going up about saving single family home zoning. I am all for new zoning and more walkable cities and biking. However breaking single family homes in a small area into rental units changes a neighborhood. I have reservations as we have a college and other college towns nearby the houses are all just rentals that are empty all summer and no real community exists.

Before I left Reddit the local subreddit seemed to have a view that basically anyone who owned a house downtown was rich and therefore a pretty crappy person. There was no difference in the 1% rich and a person who bought a house 25 years ago before any housing price boom. Just the haves and the have nots and owning a house was enough to be on the bad side.

I am over 50 and this was one of the things that recently made me think Reddit was skewing too young for me to even stay around.

Many a women are known to force their husbands to accept bribes in India just to cover their cosmetics or jewelry expense. Consider how serene, beautiful and livable this world will be if only more and more people start cutting down on their luxurious expenses instead of ethics and morality?"
