In this vein, I also recommend Fail Safe to those who have not seen it.Threads is absolutely terrifying, and must be part of a public broadcast once in a while. For vegetarians, especially those from birth, it seems like the physical association to the actual animal grosses them out. But I've met folks who were vegetarian all their life, who have tasted meat and then picked it up because it didn't look like meat.

I picked up Beyond the Occult for fun, and it had a rather interesting introduction before it dived into the irrational. The interesting bit was about how intentional thoughts can limit feeling a moment in its rawness (with emotions and some more primal instincts) thus filtering out some of it and making it a bit sterile.
Today I continue to read Adrian Tchaikovsky's Children of Time.

As for myself and showering, if I'm not heading out at all, I'd do the shower once in 2-3 days until I find myself smelling bad. Showering too often rids us of our natural odour which isn't necessarily as off-putting without sweat. It sounds weird but people I've been intimate with have mentioned that they like my 'smell'.

The movie seemed too long and I couldn't stay immersed what with the quick cuts and the swelling music. I don't mind long films and I watch a variety of cinema but watching Oppenheimer was just an ordeal for me.
I think I only enjoyed the speech scene at the auditorium, which was executed very well.
