There’s been several points where I’m faced with a choice and have no concept whatsoever of the implications of those choices. I’ve been playing 2 different saves back and forth and trying different choices on some things. Also, I’ve been impressed how your choice of character race changes some of what happens. It seems like they’ve put a lot of effort into the characters/story and so far I’m loving it.

But, IMAX thinks that the credit goes to their film process and Mattel thinks people want stories framed around classic toys. No! People largely don’t care about framing devices or production technology, they want good stories told in a visually pleasing way. Nobody’s saying “let’s go see the new IMAX film.” They are saying “let’s go see the new Nolan film” or “let’s check out the latest Marvel movie.” It’s the stories people like, not the set dressing.

We should not assume that alien life has the same limitations and requirements that humans do. Our biology evolved to thrive in the conditions of earth, but a species that evolved under different conditions may live for millennia or may not require sleep. There are species on earth that are functionally immortal, and other species that live for centuries. It’s entirely possible that an alien species with interstellar travel could have no issues sending a small or 1-man crew to explore the universe for thousands of years before returning home. If we’re to the point of speculating about alien life, there’s no reason to assume their existence resembles ours in any way.

I would build 6-lane 1-way roads to the train station and STILL have issues with congestion.

I can set my watch up to wake me after a certain amount of sleep or at a set time, but it also allows you to set it so it only wakes you in light sleep within a certain amount of time of your wake up time.

In extreme weather the cooling system can drain the traction batteries in just a few days. We are constantly monitoring the charge level in our test vehicles when they sit unused for a while so the systems don’t get depleted.

I see lots of people that are pro-birth or anti-suicide that have the idea that existence-at-all-costs is some sort of lofty goal to be attained. Personally, I’d rather NOT struggle in my existence. I don’t mind being challenged and having to think and work, but if my existence is a struggle for basic survival with little or no comfort I’ll just respectfully bow out. And in that same mindset I refuse to force another entity into existence. Have kids if you want, but I don’t see where adding additional lives is anything other than negative at worst or neutral at best. To quote Prof Hubert Farnsworth: “There is no scientific consensus that life is beneficial to the universe.”

All of the tech advances are double-edged swords. Communication is faster, but misinformation is more prevalent and insidious. We have better medicine, but treatments get further and further away from being affordable for the average person. So, it’s easy to look back 100-200 years and say they had all these diseases that were untreatable and had a rougher existence, but are our lives actually “better?” Yes we have modern conveniences, but are we happier? Do we have less stress in daily life? Hard to say.
