And last of all, this may be harsh but I think it needs saying, Mark Fisher fell victim to suicide. He's not exactly an epitome of healthy coping mechanisms, and his criticisms about mental health should be evaluated with that in mind.
It reads to me like you're saying that we should read his work with more skepticism than usual, because he had a medical condition. Whether his line of thinking is correct or not, I don't see how personal experience with what he's talking about should make him a less reliable writer/thinker.

The tipping point (big warning, this thread discusses suicide, the first words you see when you click this link may be very confronting) was this feedback thread. It reads to me as if his personal beliefs have an outsized influence on Kagi's decisions and often feels like he's coming up with words to justify his position rather than reasoning his way to a good decision. Also that thread in particular he insists that the request opens up a slippery slope, when no other search engine has slide down the slope that he claims exists.
I'm also bothered by his repeated insistence that Kagi doesn't and won't introduce bias into their results. I find it a bit ridiculous, I don't believe unbiased data is a coherent or realistic concept. As a rule I don't trust people who work in tech who make such claims, this is my major reason for cancelling.
I had a much shorter fuse with Kagi than I normally would. I have been making an effort to de-Google recently and I definitely try not to support obviously unethical businesses or shitty founders, but I think the fact that Kagi's slogan is "humanize the web" made me put up with less. (also, it is quite expensive, that makes it easier to drop too)

- Claim infringement on later iterations of Mickey which are not public domain. You'd have to very obviously be copying the later designs though, even giving him gloves and a high-pitched voice (both of which aren't in the public domain yet) would probably not be enough because they're both common things for a cartoon animal.

r-tae LinkI've watched a few hundred episodes of the anime and I thought the live action was great, the casting was good and I wish the anime was paced half as well. It has a pretty low budget feel (especially the sets feel quite plasticky, and I agree with CptBluebear about the costumes) but honestly I think it fits the tone and anyway I'm tired of shows with unaccountably high budgets for no reason.

r-tae LinkOcaml brings me joy for completely inexplicable reasons. I'm not particularly good at it, but I found its syntax very intuitive from the start. It definitely helps that I'll never have any reason...Ocaml brings me joy for completely inexplicable reasons. I'm not particularly good at it, but I found its syntax very intuitive from the start. It definitely helps that I'll never have any reason to use it for work, so its a retreat from work stress and I think a bit of nostalgia from before I had to code.

You will not get any hum or noise reduction while using a balanced cable for headphones, and it doesn't matter anyway because your headphone cables are certainly not picking up anything. I don't know why this is persistently so poorly marketed.
Headphones drivers have two wires: active and return. In a pair of normal stereo headphones, a TRS connector is wired up something like (I forget which order R&L go normally): T–right active; R–left active; S–shared return. The TRRS cable you described is simply separating the shared return into a dedicated wire per driver. If your amp is wired for it, this could mean that your left and right drivers are completely isolated from each other. Maybe this improves the sound, maybe not. It's really just different, you should be suspicious of any company says this is definitely better.
There are other differences between balanced and unbalanced headphones cables, but they have nothing to do with reducing interference.

Like, mistakes are human of course but there are good odds that your favourite youtuber (assuming you have one) is actually a small media empire. When you have a video creation business with multiple employees, persistent and frequent mistakes are more a sign of corner cutting and bad management.
At that point I think it should be addressed and fixed, false information can propagate in very dangerous ways and I'm not sure we should tolerate it from businesses just because they present as a friendly individual and it's "just entertainment"

The only distinction I see between "having employees of a group" and "having employees actively present themselves as members of a group" is its harder to come up with a plausibly deniable way to stop hiring people of colour than it is to target them by proxy by banning or limiting their cultural practices. I don't accept the distinction you're making because I don't agree that looking like the majority is "neutral" and I don't agree that companies should have the right to control their employees religious practice (esp. while freedom of religion is protected).
I know that sexual/gender minorities are harder to notice, but there are certainly actions an employee could take that would infringe upon their employer's "right to neutrality". Say, an office worker with a picture of their family on their desk or a trans person existing with their untrained voice. A trans woman who chooses to wear a beard would also threaten the neutrality of their employer.
I take issue with the fact that you can tell someone's beliefs by their religion. You can't know without talking to them that a hijabi is even religious, let alone what their specific beliefs are.
Race is more visible but we still see employers target racial minorities by proxy via banned hair styles, as I noted in an earlier comment. This isn't hypothetical, I just don't know how much the EU legal system has weighed in on it.
I don't mean to call you a fascist, I know nothing of your beliefs, but I want to be clear that: (specifically mentioning Islam and Judaism here, because those are the religions Europe has a particularly long history of targeting)
- wishing your employees not be visibly muslim or jewish is fascist.
- wishing not to interact with visibly muslim or jewish tellers when you go to the bank is fascist.

Some apps (incorrectly) only expect a keyfile and ignore SSH agents, so it is possible you'll find yourself forced to do that. It's pretty rare though
