Everyone absolutely should be wary of a classic pump & dump, especially with this making it to a more mainstream investing site like Bloomberg. Don't gamble with money you aren't willing to lose.

I just wrote off the money I spent as gone, even if the shares got to a dollar I'd just keep them. But yeah, I would never actually tell anyone else to buy GME, in my mind it would be like telling...

Don't have the money to see if I can play the game right now, but before reddit pumped up AMC, I already had a few shares. Saw them posting about it and bought a few more; somehow I got lucky (I am no stock genius, I generally buy stuff and hold onto it forever) and sold it right at a peak of about $60 per share and ended-up making about $2k.
That $2k I dumped into Netflix, which immediately tanked and I lost all my gains. Oops.

Archive.is seems to be struggling with getting an article mirror/snapshot off Bloomberg again for some unknown reason... but thankfully BNN Bloomberg (Bell Canada + Bloomberg partnership site) has an unpaywalled version of the same article:
https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/traders-are-betting-that-gamestop-will-jump-50-within-two-weeks-1.2004527
p.s. The fact that Bloomberg paywalled a 3 paragraph article is kinda ridiculous.
