So the rumors were true. EA Access on Steam is kinda bigger, even. Who would have thought? Origin seems to be required to run in the background. The new Star Wars game already has a Steam page.

I did not expect Access to be moved over, it's a pleasant surprise. I've been a subscriber since its launch. I'm curious if others will move too, I bet Xbox Games Pass will be next considering MS...

I have to wonder what terms EA was able to neogotiate for this to happen.

Does anyone know if they will be porting older (10+ years) games? I have a few titles, especially Mass Effect OT games that I would love to have come to Steam so I could try Proton on them, but it...

Man if Origin has to run in the background that sucks. It's basically what Ubisoft does with Uplay.
If it does have to run in the background, hopefully it doesn't interfere with Steam Proton.

I dunno, they already have a PC client that works for 99% of their demographic.
Well, the same could have been said about EA Origin.

Steam is capable of deploying their overlay on top of any game added to its launcher, even if it's not from Steam.
Origin overlay somehow overrides Steam's overlay. Try launching Sims 4 from Steam, shift+tab will bring up Origin.
Oh, I changed the shortcut on Origin's so it's Shift+F2. Shift+Tab will still open Steam's.
If Steam is opening itself up to subscription services now, the game has changed and Humble Bundle will have to watch it's back.
Why? I thought it was a charity of sorts? I'm kind of ignorant about the gaming world sorry!

I dunno. EA used to have games on Steam, so presumably they could just reactivate those listings.
Please work with Proton, please work with Proton, please work with Proton...
