I zoomed all the way out and clicked on a random area, and the message that came up simply said: It was beautiful. Then I did it again and got: Equally beautiful. 😂

Both the town I grew up in and the town I currently live in are rural, conservative small towns and there are more pins than I expected! It gives me some hope for the world. And it's all very sweet, simple* stuff. Like "I went on a hike with my some fellow lesbian friends", "we kissed in the woods and fell in love", "I came out to my friend here". It might sound weird, but it's just nice to see queer folks had happy moments in this area. Can't imagine it's always easy to, but they still did and that makes me happy :)
*- I worry this comes off as dismissive, but that's not my intent at all. I just mean it's not all paragraphs of elaborate love stories. Just little moments of realizing something about one's self or getting to explore that for the first time
Similarly in the small rural town I live in someone tagged the K-6 school as where she realized she was a lesbian and told her friends 💜 I love that and it's wonderul

Please share the response! There's absolutely an "app" for that, my bestie is the sort of friend that widens my horizons with knowledge about gay hookup websites that are too explicit for the app...

This is absolutely fantastic OP, thanks for sharing. I could barely find my country because it has so many pins in it. It’s delightful to read the messages.

Even around Frogmore Street (OMG Bar, Queenshilling and OMG, three gay bars within a few metres of each other), St Nicholas Market (Seamus O'Donnells, an Irish pub which has been turned into a gay bar), Old Market (Bristol Bear Bar) and the Lloyds Amphitheatre (where our annual Pride festival is held each year) I've seen very few pins.

This brought me a much needed laugh this morning, thanks! xD
For me this is now the best map. Touching short messages everywhere!
"Three goths used to make out and fool around a little in this stairwell once. I still tell new friends stories about it."
"lost my virginity to a girl in a bathroom on one of the top floors of the <hotel> on a friend's birthday..."
"F*cked you at my workplace during pride 2018"
Cute stories but also some laughs in here lol

Same! Even my backwards, religiously conservative, little hometown has a few pins stuck in it. It’s so nice to see that we’re just… everywhere

Love this site, really just wonderful.
