How many trans people are here?
So far tildes is pretty small, but I was just wondering how many people here are trans so far. I'm nonbinary.

You might want to check out the "Demographics Survey Results, Year Zero". 4% of respondents to that survey (14 people) identified as trans.
Oh thanks!
Don't know if I'm trans but I'm definitely nonbinary too... Genderfluid keeps popping up as the descriptor, but I think it's better to say I'm just confused lol
Labels are not that important to define who you are. Just know that no matter what you like, you are as good as everyone else.
Personally I find labelling all the possible variations more confusing than anything else, especially for people like you that are still exploring.
Labels aren't always a bad thing. If a label applies to you, it means you're not the only one. That can be validating.
That said, I'm not totally sure where I fall either.
Nonbinary is one type of trans! Trans just means that your gender identity doesn't match the gender coercively assigned to you at birth.
I did not know that!
It's not very obvious to me though, what the hell is going on - because the vast majority of the time I'm completely fine, but then once in a while I'll just get frustrated/sad about it. Like, I'd push a button to swap genders if I could, but I wouldn't go through an actual transition. So I'm not that serious about it, I guess? Again, I really don't know wtf is going on lol
I think I really needed to hear this - thanks for that!
The button question is one of the really common things you ask someone questioning their gender, actually. You have a button, it changes your gender (to one of your preference) permanently (no take backs, not time-based, etc.). If you press it, there's a really decent chance that you're trans. It's not foolproof because you know, everyone is different, but it's something that can get people into thinking more deeply about it.
Your experience is also unique and just because you don't experience dysphoria incredibly often doesn't make you less valid or "not as trans" as other people or something like that. A decent amount of trans people also don't transition in some fashion, either because they're fine with their body and only struggle socially or something else, they don't want top/bottom surgery, or other perfectly valid reasons. It's also perfectly fine to be confused, you can figure everything out at your own pace.
Trans woman here.
Is anyone really truly gender binary, I mean everyone seems to have at least some femininity or masculinity mixed in with the rest.
It's true no one is wholely feminine or masculine, however, one's masculinity/femininity is not relevant to whether they consider themselves a man or woman or something else.
