I know I’ll ultimately be proven wrong, but there’s so much imagery from the original Planet of the Apes here, the apes on horseback, catching humans in nets in tall grass, rusted out ruins on a beach, what looks like a “Forbidden Zone”, a Dr. Zaius lookalike… I dunno, I feel like maybe they’ll really do it, and that they want to keep it a secret because it’s not in this trailer at all, but… You see, way back in 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes they planted a seed: A group of astronauts lost in space. I think they’re finally coming home.
In the first movie, there was some short segment in the news about the lost astronauts, playing in the background of a scene. I remember it being easily missable.

Please be good. I love the reboot this franchise got (the second reboot…not that Marky Mark garbage).
Edit: typo
