New album confirmed! At least won't be 100% metal as Hey There is an ethereal interlude-y track. This article mentions “mirror-balling through delicately-delivered pop, full bodied screams, synth-symbiotic ‘80s retro-futurism, and energy-jolted ‘00s pop-punk.” But those could be fused with metal in each song, who knows.
This might be the full tracklist, not sure what the source is.
Wow, she really has come a long way from the "I'm Poppy" video that I remember her from. It's impressive to see someone stick with something for a decade and also keep turning it into something new.

She seems to be able to forge her own path, explore music, not get tied down to a single genre. She imho has a lot of great music even if the metal tracks are my favourite :)

I enjoy that she made a metalcore song, as that is my favorite genre. Although, I feel like this one is missing a bit of the magic that Poppy adds to all of her music. It is super generic by metalcore standards…and relies heavily on using oversaturated tropes in the genre (such as the blegh).
I am still super excited at the idea of her potentially releasing a heavy album though. I would give my entire soul to hear an album similar to I disagree but with more of her harsh vocals.

I kind of like that she's playing the single(s) as super tropey of the genre. It gives me hope that the deeper cuts will be appropriately weird and out there. But it also meshes with my view that metal is an inherently silly genre of music (no hate though, I'm a huge metal fan. But let's be real, it's ridiculous) and I think there might be a degree of satire to what she's doing.
Sorry for the negativity but damn the production is shit, I don't know how people listen to this. -5 LUFS, been squashed to nothing, even heavy bands like Meshuggah don't reach that level.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't even know what that actually means. I listen to this because I just like Poppy going brrr, and that's all. I know next to nothing regarding audio...

It's a measure of how loud a sound file will be perceived compared to another one played with the same volume settings. A large portion of music producers believe that their music need to be "louder" (in quotes because loudness ultimately is in the control of the listener) than others to be "competitive". To achieve this they need to process the audio in a way that makes it "louder", but also makes it sound like crap. It's a bit like pushing the contrast and saturation to 100% on an image (https://old.reddit.com/r/shittyHDR/comments/1f0r6mm/found_on_pinterest/?ref=share&ref_source=link).
Personally I perceive by an immediate urge to turn the volume down, and increased hear fatigue. It also sounds hollow and flat (there's no loud & quiet, no contrast). Maybe a good illustration is old vs recent Meshuggah :
(open both, sets the volume to a comfortable level for each listen)
Note this doesn't you shouldn't enjoy Poppy's music, sadly there's plenty of good music with subpar production nowadays. Maybe it's because I'm getting old and my ears are tired (listening to music all the time...) but this is just too much for me.
A new, metal flavoured, Poppy single. Between this and new way out, could we be getting a full metal album?
Hope so!

That description sounds like right up my alley.
I'm really enjoying her recent stuff, especially her collabs with bad omens and knocked loose.
