Any plans on implementing a vote count system comparable to reddit's karma?
Also, quick qustion, why can't i see the user info in my profile (joined/invited by)?

I really don't want to see a karma system. That way lies madness and nothing good can come of it other than ego stroking.
I wouldn't mind seeing an expanded user profile section, though.
I wouldn't mind putting a personal avatar and a logline on my bio, maybe a link or two to my webpage or whatever but that would be it.
I like the idea of personalization without a point accumulation system. It would foster a sense of individuality and creativity if people want to link to personal pages or otherwise customize their page in some minor ways without turning into a facebook profile. But accumulating points seems to harbor some absolutely nuts behavior in people on reddit. Saw a thread last night with people talking about how addicting getting karma is and it made me realize how truly like facebook and instagram that place has become.
I hope not. Karma brings shitposting - minimal effort to get the most Meaningless Internet Points™
I think this system we've got now is great. If you agree with someone you can vote for them but if you don't you just don't do anything, you can only reply to them if you disagree with them which sparks up conversations. I'm pretty glad as well that we can't see our karma scores, this isn't a competition.
Just FYI: Discussion about how Tildes works is mostly happening in ~Tildes.
For example: "A minor suggestion regarding voting and karma"
Hey, how did you hyperlink like that?
