Nothing too fancy, did a few small apps for practice like a movie info app where you search for a movie and pulls results from the IMDb API, an app that bookmarks a website for you and saves it, a rock, paper, scissors game and similar small projects.
Built a few websites, but nothing worth showing i don't think. Did a search for animal shelters in my area and they mostly have really old and outdated websites, so i was thinking of making them new ones and giving them away if they want to use it. They would have a brand new modern website and i would have something to show in my portfolio

If i'm on the beach or somewhere, paperback. I don't like hardcover books, too awkward to hold.

Tried it out for a few hours, had an absolute blast. I really miss Quake, played Q3 since early 00's.
Actually thinking of going home for a few days just to unwind from work and play some games.

You will never meet so many different people while traveling with your own car. Some of the people i met on the road have had a significant impact on my life, and i often remember some of the things they have said to me.
Paranoid thoughts aside, everyone who will pick up a hitchhiker is open in a way most people aren't, and it is more likely to have a meaningful conversation with that person.
Plus, it is just a really liberating feeling, being on the road with just your backpack and a jug of water.
Some day i will probably get tired of it all. Not any time soon though.

A guy i know has a system i really liked. Every day for the past few years he takes notes in the calendar app about what he did that day and if anything special happened.
Says it really helps him remember some things he would otherwise forget. Also, must be neat to be able to jump to a random date and be like "Oh, i remember this!".

Weirdly enough, i find cigarettes less satisfying than my vape now that i got used to it. Give it a few days. Also, give direct lung vaping a try. I couldn't quit when i tried mouth to lung devices, but DL has been a revelation.
I used to smoke a 50g tobacco bag every 2 days for 12 years, and decided it was enough. Bought myself a Pico and a Serpent Mini because i am a cheap bastard and don't want to buy a new coil every few days, and i couldn't be happier. Tried lighting a couple of cigarettes and realized how god awful they taste and how pointless it was when i can taste lemons instead of an ashtray.
Almost 3 months smoke free now!

I love to cook, and since we live and eat together, i cook 100% vegetarian meals, aside from the occasional piece of pork neck or chicken for myself.
I've learned a lot since we started living together. There is an impressive ammount of vegetarian meals from different cuisines you can make that are all unique. I had no idea!
I myself avoid beef/veal. I just like cows too much, and can't bring myself to eat them. The industry is afwul as well.
Upsides of cooking vegetarian is that the food is generally lighter for the stomach(i can eat radioactive nails as far my stomach is concerned, but i feel a lot lighter than if i was to eat meat), the food is cheaper if you know how to cook, and feel like there is more variety in different meals you can make.
The downside is that i lost a lot of weight since i started eating mainly vegetarian. My gf says i look like Christian Bale in The Machinist(it isn't that severe, but you get the idea).
Could use recommendations on how to gain healthy weight back that isn't just eating meat.

I mostly read on my commute and find it more practical than a physical book. I just put it in my pocked instead of hauling an actual book around. However i do enjoy reading physical books more when i'm at home or, say, on a beach.

But oh well, i'll get there i suppose.Sorry if i sounded rude in my previous comment, wasn't my intetion.
Thank you, i may take you up on that offer sometime :).
I heard about TypeScript, though i'm not sure if i should focus on that right now. Currently digging into backend and trying to learn how it works, then i was thinking of figuring out a frontend framework (React probably seeing how there are lots of jobs here that use it).
I'm new to programming in general, JS is my first language, and while it did click with me and i understand the logic, i'm still getting overwhelmed daily when i see how much i still have to learn.
