His legal escapades will likely go down in history as some of the most expensive fuckups EVER, so i'm curious if this will be in some court he thinks he's got control over, or if he's just off his meds and deciding he knows better than his legal council.
Don't get me wrong, I think Altman is also a problem, but he's at least capable of listening to the people he pays millions of dollars for.
I agree with your statement, but I think saying "he's just off his meds" is a bit unkind to any readers with diagnosed mental illnesses that may be doing their best to maintain.

While I do generally think using "off their meds" is problematic, he has tried to use it as an excuse for his choices, so I think it's ok here.
When people ask me "forget to take your meds today???" I immediately want to throw them off the nearest overpass. Same energy as telling women to take a midol IMO.

There's a small subset of people who know me well enough to get the right to ask if I took my Adderall today. Asking if I was "off my meds" would lose them that right immediately.

I mean it quite literally. He has supposedly made decisions in the past for that exact reason.
"supposedly" being the important word here. You probably could have just called him an asshole and avoided any problematic wording. 🤷♂️

It's still not a great phrase to use. Even if he's claimed it. He'll never see this, lots of other people will.
