Just had a look and I've got 3, would be nicer if it was like a month or something. One week wouldn't be enough for many to get the feel for the platform imo. Still, I love Nebula and want it to...

Still, I love Nebula and want it to succeed so will be sharing it with a couple friends.
Oh for sure, I meant more that you can likely only receive one. So it's truly a week long free trial, not a "please view this cool thing I like specifically"

Essentially the same type of offer that many subscription platforms have. Trying to get a little extra clout on their trial by having it come from someone you know. That said, probably about time for them to have something like this. As a non-subscriber, I don't know what content they have or why I would want to watch it, so hypothetically having someone I know invite me would solve those somewhat in ways that are more tailored than the service would be able to do directly
The trial itself doesn't bother me, the framing does. Just call it a personalized free trial invite. I'm not even sure it bothers me, it's just not as useful as I'd have hoped.

Post says they give out one per month (or 3 per quarter if you’re on a lifetime/annual subscription). It is a one-week free trial but does not require a credit card to start.

Gotcha I've been clarifying that I meant "get" one not "give" one and I was like "what else am I not saying right!" It's not 100% clear if you no longer count as new after using a guest pass but...

The bar to tell a friend or family member to download a new application and sign up is pretty high for me, because I think that it is important to not fill your device with a ton of distracting bloat. Right now, the most interesting stuff on Nebula is also on YouTube. I don't want to use YouTube, but I understand that most people are totally fine with the current state of the service (or fine enough to not see the value in changing).
If I am going to tell someone to try something new, it needs to be different enough to the status quo to justify the effort of setup. Nebula isn't there yet.
if i remember some creators on Nebula do also upload some of their stuff on Youtube as well?. Nebula sounds interesting enough (in theory at least) for me to have a look see one day. I kept seeing...

Does anyone know if these are cumulative with creator discounts? One of my friends told me he'd rather not use a guest pass because he feared he might not be able to subscribe later with the discounted subscription link provided by his favorite creator. He pointed out the creator discount was much better value than a single week of free use.
That's a question for /u/dwiskus or the /r/Nebula subreddit, but I would think that if you use a creator link to sign up from, it would still honor that price. Worst case is that you would have to...

I wonder if this would help me or not. I am always tempted anytime the lifetime pass is on sale but I never pull the trigger. Nebula should be perfect for me, but will I find content on it that I...
I wonder if this would help me or not. I am always tempted anytime the lifetime pass is on sale but I never pull the trigger. Nebula should be perfect for me, but will I find content on it that I like enough that I cannot find on YouTube or else where? I don't know. Is a week enough time for me to figure that out? I'm also not sure.
I also don't know anyone who currently subscribes so I guess I'm not getting a guest pass. I'll probably just keep being Nebula-curious.
I got the lifetime pass around 2 years ago I think, and I am super happy that nebula is just something I have, don’t have to pay a subscription for, it’s not on my mind in any way etc. In that...

In that regard even YouTube is worse because YouTube is unwatchable without premium on my tv. Too many ads.
And I do regularly watch nebula. Jet Lag early, some exclusives etc
These are definitely just free trials. Especially if you have to be a new subscriber, which I assume also means you can only get one of these.

Right but if it's required to be a "new subscriber" you can only receive one.
I read that and then made my comment. What clarification do you believe you're providing?

Better than nothing, but I'd still prefer to be able to share individual videos through a link on ad-hoc basis.

I'm sure you can find someone around this website, Nebula is pretty popular. I know a guy who can help you out if you DM them.
(It's me, I'm the guy.)
Paying the sub is cheap ($3 or something?). The lifetime pass makes zero economical sense for anyone, but it's a nice way to support them.
I know that financially but life time passes have a magical pull on me.
Maybe you should work on that :)
