For those unaware, zombo.com (aka Zombocom) was a parody of .com-era Internet startups promising everything and nothing simultaneously. You can see the original here. The original owner let the domain registration lapse and someone else picked it up.

Someone online is claiming that the domain was hacked and stolen out from the original owner, and the new Zombocom is AI slop. They have a screen grab that is a email from Josh Levine, the owner, claiming he's trying to get the site back. That's not necessarily incongruous with events as listed, save for hacking as opposed to a domain expiring, but I don't have first hand information for any of this and it's not passing my personal sniff test.

Parody? But you could do anything at zombocom
A new zombo.com for the next generation. I will pass the torch on to my children so they can see the possibilities!
I love zombocom.
Sad the OG lapsed, but glad it got picked up by someone doing something “decent” with it.
Insane to let something lapse like that. I’d have it registered for decades if I had an iconic domain.

TBH it seems too nice to call it slop.
That is a heck of a good beat!
...why does it load so slowly?..is it still running on a celeron?..
