Hook that nostalgia right up to my veins. Even if the show sucks I'll tune in just for the intro song. Immediately takes me back to Saturday mornings.
Also I never knew that I needed Wolverine giving Gambit a piggy back ride. How does Gambit charging Wolverine's claws work? Does his entire skeleton explode and then he regenerates around it?
I'm guessing since adamantium is basically invulnerable, nothing happens to his skeleton and the energy just comes out as a boom and, yes, his organics would need to regenerate all around his skeleton. That is going to be wild.
Seems like an inefficient use of both of their powers but now I must see this in action.
Pffft. Efficiency shmafficiency. It is going to look cool.
Haha, let's hope. I just realized the original five seasons are on D+ and I know what I'm doing on my next day off.
yeah. for better or worse this is it. Marvel is banking on it too and I'll still do it.
Oh definitely and it is legit the first time I've been happy to have access to Disney+.
I'm really digging this animation style, it has the clarity and lining from modern animation combined with the grittiness and maximalism of the 90s animation style.
I don't know. It somehow looks wrong to me. Like it's the same people but in a different universe maybe? It's just not quite right. Maybe like an uncanny valley thing.
This will be interesting. I think there’s a market for these shows but at the same time X-men can be weird. On the plus side to my memory they already did the Phoenix nonsense so that’s done
They did. It's crazy how quickly they went from fighting random anti-mutant street gangs, to major threats, to fighting gods that were going to end their whole timeline.
I am pumped for this. I had the pleasure of talking to the creators of the original series and this “sequel” for quite a bit of time with regard to my own project and hearing their perspective on it really gives me hope and appreciation. They didn’t just bring this back for nostalgia’s sake (although, let’s be honest that that is a major selling point here) but rather because they genuinely felt that their work was unfinished.
That looks awesome. I guess it's time to binge the original show, I'm pretty sure they didn't even air the episodes in order in Brazil. I haven't seen the ending of a lot of classic cartoons.
I'm so glad they're keeping the 90s animation vibe.
I loved this show as a kid but never had any idea what was going on. Every time I saw it, it seemed to be 3 episodes into a 5 episode arc.
What the hell is Wolverine's voice lol
Yeah the new voices are going to throw me off for a bit.
The crazy thing is that it’s the same actor. Cal Dodd came back as Wolverine, he’s just 30-or-so years older now.
That’s crazy. I guess it’s like how Mufasa sounds differently then and now.
If you like this I highly recommend Kyle Mooney's animated show Saturday Morning All Star Hits! on Netflix
What I've previously read about the producers was hopeful, that they respected the work they're continuing, but for a contemporary animation the FPS is sure very low. And the animation quality, while good, doesn't seem good enough to compensate for that. I wonder if the budget is too low.
The producers and show runners are mostly the same people as the original. Most new crew are from the Marvel side such as Feige and crew.
