That's actually interesting, and I hadn't seen this mentioned before. I am skeptical because of the source of the "sped up" video, but it seems to be a reasonable explanation. Also, the fact that...

Yeah, of all sources, Infowars certainly doesn't deserve to be given the benefit of the doubt. This would be far more subtle than their usual methods though, so I'm inclined to believe it wasn't...
Yeah, of all sources, Infowars certainly doesn't deserve to be given the benefit of the doubt. This would be far more subtle than their usual methods though, so I'm inclined to believe it wasn't deliberate. As the article mentions, Watson also tweeted that the Thousand Oaks shooting suspect was a "Middle Eastern man with a beard" and deleted it later—that's much more their normal level of blatant misinformation.
Overall I think it's kind of ridiculous that Watson's still on Twitter anyway, after they banned Infowars, Alex Jones, etc., but that's a whole different thing.
I just stumbled on this video, and I have seen a similar one that actually layered the video, though I can't find that video at the moment. It does appear that the video is actually altered.

They aren't really "tearing out his tongue" though. They didn't arrest him, they didn't hurt him, they didn't forbid him from speaking, he's not banned from CNN, etc. He's just not allowed to go...
They aren't really "tearing out his tongue" though. They didn't arrest him, they didn't hurt him, they didn't forbid him from speaking, he's not banned from CNN, etc. He's just not allowed to go back to the Whitehouse and ask questions at press briefings.
I can see the argument for forbidding him from press briefings. He refused to stop talking in the microphone after his turn was over and physically resisted an effort by a white house worker to collect the microphone he was misusing.
In general, I'm glad the press is adversarial to the President and I want that to continue. I do expect that reporters who are part of the news briefings should stick to asking questions so long as there is a fair process for their questions to be heard.
Trump is a genius. Wait for election results Fire Sessions Distract everyone by pissing off the reporters with some new drama. To be honest, I am ashamed the reporters fell for this. Yet again....

Sanders even shared an edited version of video from the press conference on Twitter to make their claims of assault seem more convincing.
This is the most shocking bit to me, honestly. The White House is now spreading fabricated evidence to justify removing a member of the press.
Whether it was deliberately edited seems a little iffy, it may have been a result of converting a video to a GIF and back again. There's some more information in this article, which seems to be a pretty good summary of the argument at the moment: https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/charliewarzel/acosta-video-trump-cnn-aide-sarah-sanders

This made it pretty clear to me that it was deliberately edited https://twitter.com/spdustin/status/1060636338440073216

If you missed this morning's press conference, here were some of the highlights, including a transcript of the exchange between Trump and Acosta: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2018/11/most-notable-moments-trumps-press-conference/575188/
The man is borderline incoherent. His speech is just unfiltered stream-of-consciousness.
He acts like a small child, yelling at people who he doesn't want to talk.
