    My tiny town that I grew up in did this 30 years ago. Nothing changed other than the fact that people liked the county sheriff's department better.

    Working on finishing a wood shop (shed) in my backyard. Currently all I have left for exterior is the actual door, which is currently on my bench getting a Spar Urethane finish. After that it's ready for me to move in all my tools and my wife can have the garage (well, half of it) to park in.

    I would have not sent that email in 9th grade. Or... I would have taken my friends advice and invested $500 in the box that rents DVDs that was red. Or.... I would have clicked the final buy...

    We were going to do that yesterday but forgot to do it earlier in the day, so we used the instant pot instead. It worked fine, but obviously it was not the same as a good ole slow cook.

    A couple days ago I made sone grilled chicken seasoned with rosemary garlic salt, with fried potatoes seasoned with thyme, rosemary, oregano(all fresh from our garden) and a late addition of basil. I also did some canned green beans fried in a light sesame oil with salt and garlic pepper.

    It's not often my kids not only eat everything I make, and rarely do they compliment my cooking. Everyone says it was the best meal all summer

    Went to a family reunion for my MIL's side. Actually had a pretty good time and had some good conversations with a lot of my wife's cousins and their families. And all the kids played well...

    It is 12x16 (the biggest I could go without a permit), with a simple Gable roof. As for tools, pretty much all the standard ones. Table saw, miter saw, band saw, jointer, planer, bunch of...

    As for tools, pretty much all the standard ones. Table saw, miter saw, band saw, jointer, planer, bunch of different Sanders, small crappy drill press, and a bunch of restored hands planes. And let's not forget my favorite newest addition, dust collection.

    I've been woodworking in my garage for years now. My wife wants me out so she can park in it for once. So, last year I built my own small shop in the backyard. Everything but the windows are completely custom, even the door. I've never made a door before and it was a great learning experience.

    I will say, sadly, that it is not done yet. The door is put together but still needs to sanded, fitted to the jam, hinges and handles cut, finish applied, and at some point, hung. But alas, summer is here and kids take priority.
