I was recently tentatively diagnosed with something called "Mast Cell Activation Syndrome" aka MCAS. It's basically allergies, but not quite. A complicated diagnosis, to be sure.

Anyway, part of the diagnostic process is a very stringent elimination diet that cuts a lot of foods out. It sucks.

Now here's the good part! I haven't felt as good as I do today since sometime last fall. I've still got a long way to go, and it's a variable thing because of bodies being weird -- some days will be better than others. Having a root cause after 20 years of symptoms is so amazing, though! I will miss food like chocolate and sharp cheeses, but that's going to be worth it to have some kind of quality of life.

How will you be building and playing this list? Spotify or similar? I use Deezer but I can dig into my playlists there if you want more suggestions!

My favorite color is purple. I only came up with eggplants and the McDonald's mascot, Grimace. So apparently I'm a whimsical person who's intensely horn? I don't think so, but I find it hilarious.

It can. It's a little more common to knit in public these days, I think, than when I learned to in the 90s. Still, people get curious. Kids especially.

That said, I was a crafter for a long time. Carpal tunnel is my enemy. But, I always found it useful to knit in public, something small like a dishcloth. It's pretty socially acceptable to do in many places in the States, at least. I can't speak for elsewhere.

If you don't know how or don't have inclination to learn, I like handwriting poetry or notes, depending on where I am and what's going on.

A physical object like a worry stone is pretty unobtrusive.

I love the Rocketeer! It's so much fun. How can people hate it? It's a somewhat cheesy period piece with Jennifer Connolly in gorgeous clothes and an over the top villain! I'm aghast.

I saw NIN with Bauhaus and that was the best show of my life, even though we had to leave early. I can only IMAGINE Trent with Bowie. That would absolutely be a religious experience for me.

I've always been interested in the weather. It's been a wild ride these past few years, to put it mildly. I might look back into things when my health settles down some.

I'm a little jealous, not gonna lie. I saw a partial show of Bauhaus and NIN, and even the bit I saw was amazing! I bet The Cure put on an equally good show, and I hope your memories of the show...
