Wanna see how a story gets controlled? Pay attention to who's presenting themselves with structured arguments, almost repeating word for word. Pay special attention to those presenting themselves as if the media is against their story while using a media source as their source. It's not an accident. It is someone being told a story and only accepting that story.

    Article Source

    Problems with the Slate article:

*Portrays one study as having the weight to reach a full conclusion
*Portrays trigger warnings as more harmful than not, against the judgement of their source material
*Portrays all warnings as equal, even though the point of the source is just to say warnings directly prior to triggering content are potentially useless
*Portrays all trauma as inherently equal, even though the source tweet explicitly divides between diagnosed PTSD, clinical PTSD, and general trauma survivors
*References a NYT article which portrays content warnings for epileptics and trauma survivors as being the same
    *Clickbait

    Things Slate did right:

*Referenced other studies pointing to the same conclusion
*Highlighted the importance of using trauma survivors in the study
*Discuss the importance of helping trauma survivors through potentially triggering scenarios

It's important to note here that that quote isn't even about the menu items or the idea of a girlfriend stealing food from the boyfriend, but

the men-are-from-Mars-and-Venus-is-complicated idea that women are always being coy about what they “really” mean.

Why they didn't pull this quote, which is directly critiquing the restaurants and their practises, is beyond me.

I'm sorry, isn't the point of Javert that he's wrong?

His death song is him slowly realising that his entire worldview has been backwards and twisted and throwing himself into the river because he can't deal with it.

Actually, the comparison might work, then.

It seems pretty unreasonable to claim that Youtube switched their entire client stack over because Firefox surpassed Chrome's JS performance on Youtube.

Perhaps, but it wouldn't be the first time if they have. Docs and the whole Drive suite won't allow copy-paste on non-Chromium browsers, Gmail has multiple bugs on Firefox that the team at Google have avoided fixing for as long as they can, and to pull a non-Firefox example, Google's Youtube app breaks Apple's TOS to sell Premium.

You don't kill competition by presenting yourself as the malicious one, you present it as all happy accidents.

It always confuses me what parts some of these articles choose to pick up on and what parts they avoid. Like, you choose the death camp scene, because it is inflammatory and it is somewhat morally questionable to advertise with it, but not the later scene where they liberate themselves from the camp? Or, you choose one nazi symbol, but never point out the book burning seconds later? It's all very confusing.

Side-note: While the scene is questionable if used to sell more albums, the scene itself fits very well into the artistic vision of this song. It would be idiotic to point out every dark day in Germany's history while specifically avoiding the darkest days of all.

Late, but you're both right. The card itself has no chip and it's not tap and go capable, but Apple intends for it to be the "backup," if that makes sense. Their end goal is that you use the app with their credit card for most scenarios, but if they don't accept tap and go, you still have the real card as a backup. That's why using the physical card only gives you 1% cash back, but using the app gives you 2% cash back.

all Christian denominations are anti-LGBTQ because they all share the same Bible which contains the same anti-LGBTQ teachings

Nope, though that is a common belief. There exist several Christian denominations which either don't care or actively support LGBT people. Yes, they all use the same bible, but each interpretation of the text is different. Here's a good resource for that: https://www.gaychurch.org/affirming-denominations/

I'm a GSM-identifying person. What should I be concerned about with regard to this actor and his church attendance?

You shouldn't. You should be worried that he may use his unique position to spread his beliefs elsewhere. Remember how people were asking why we should worry what a former reality tv star thinks about Mexico 3 years ago? Of course, Chris Pratt isn't DJT, but if he ever were to say something anti-LGBT he could have a much further reach than his church would.
