The Kenji Lopez/Adam Ragusea type of cooking that is educational and meant to impart some understanding of technique, science, or history on the viewer. The other trend is kind of hard to describe without being crass. I would describe it as a sort of voyeuristic cooking cuckoldry where your not meant to participate. In fact the actual intention is to be entertained by someone else doing the cooking and eating the food. I don't think there is anything inherently harmful about this I can't help but feel that it's a reflection of trend in western society as whole. More and more entertainment and hobbies is becoming about enjoying watching others do things instead of doing them yourselves. I don't know if it comes from the growing epidemic of porn addictions or just general societal malaise but I absolutely hate it. I want to try new recipes and learn new techniques. I don't want to watch someone make something pretty but ultimately decorative. I want to get better at cooking and make things that taste good and are meant to be shared with the people I love. Anything else to me is useless filler.

Even making barely above 6 figures myself there isn't a ton to look forward to but for them it just seems so much more bleak. Constantly trying to live paycheck to paycheck while being worked to death. Something will have to give eventually. There's no way this kind of wealth inequality can exist without conflict forever.

I will say do not watch this show if you are in a particularly anxious mood. It's an enzyme for anxiety. Very incredible show though. I'd honestly argue so far it's one of the best American shows of all time.

Yes different materials have different impacts and some bikes will last 30+ years but those 30 yo bikes are not as good as a modern bike. There have and will continue to be major advancements in bicycles that will make old bicycles obsolete for competing. If you are buying new bikes regularly for commuting then yeah of course thats wasteful. A heavy 30 year old clunker will do just fine for commuting but it is significantly slower and more inefficient than even modern steel bikes. I do agree compatibility is a huge issue and there is a ton of ways that the industry should improve but old bikes really aren't comparable to a modern bike built for sport.

The biggest thing I worry about is incorrectly tagging things. Pretty much every post I've made has had the tags changed. I just want to make sure I'm not making extra work for some one.

I read a couple of guides online about the process and realized I was treating it like tea. Once I got through that first "pour" it tasted much much less bitter and was quite enjoyable. I'm almost tempted to kind of discard that first pour as it seems excessively bitter. It also might just be that I bought a bad brand from my local international market.

I was shocked to find out it was literally the place where the Chimichanga was invented. I wish we were able to live there. It really is an amazing city. There just isn't anywhere to work there beyond Raytheon.

I live in a pretty hostile area with a ton of lifted trucks and SUVs purposely trying to swipe me and throwing beer bottles at me or rolling coal on me. The radar give me a heads up on the Garmin 530 and more time to react. I honestly consider it as important safety equipment as my helmet. The other thing that's really nice about Garmin is it's super customizable. I have several data pages with the various stats I want displayed how I want it. Not sure if wahoo has it but Garmin has a live tracking feature that sends out any emails you want with a link to a little map that shows where you are as well as speed and heart rate and such. My wife loves ti cause she can check in on me when she gets worried about me. The only negative I have is that there is currently a glitch in some of the varia firmware that causes it to occasionally pop up with a message saying it's disconnected when it really hasn't. From what I tried with the wahoo bolt I borrowed once it seems like wahoo is more "plug in and play". They're both good systems and you can't really go wrong with either.

Probably some cool stuff. Barbie was probably way more pink and fun though! We could do those other things and see Barbie.
