That's a fair question. It was okay because computers and robotics do what you tell them (at the moment). A human had to do the thinking to program them correctly. The fruit packer and car painter could learn to use that technology. If AI can think better than humans and do all or even most science better than humans, that's a big problem, not just for me, but also for the former fruit packer and car painter. Science is hard and requires advanced degrees taking 3+ years to just be knowledgeable enough to perform research. If machines can do what humans with 3+ years beyond the bachelor's can do, where does that leave humanity as a whole? What can we possibly learn that will make us useful enough to be paid for our labor? I'm scared for not just me, but all of us because our governments are not ready for this. We need universal basic income and healthcare for this shift.

I read all three links, but none say how you would port a game from Godot to console yourself. I guess the process would be: 1) get licensed by the platform owner (Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony), 2) sign NDA, 3) download platform SDK, 4) read SDK documentation, 5) figure out how to compile your Godot game for the platform, 6) test on dev kit, 7) iterate until Gold, and 8) submit to platform.

A full clean slate 1000 or 10000 years after would be amazing! There's so much potential being wasted on projects set between movies 1 and 9. We already know what happens.

For FFT, I recommend FFTW3. Very fast and easy to compile. I haven't used it myself, a couple of scientific codes I use use it as a library.
