It costs money(wages and supplies) and there is already a shortage in a lot of sectors. Why on earth waste people working or studying to have them do what? Shovel a park? Guard the border with Belgium? It's laughable.

Secondly life isn't that perfect here lol. For some reason a lot of Americans seem to want to be the best at literally everything, and I think that's going to be impossible sadly. Finland definitively doesn't have the economy or tech the USA has for example. Life is quieter, and that has its pros.

Brown university has an experiment going that tries to make it even better with quizzes, some more text and some tools visualising borrows etc. Very enjoyable.

The really interesting question here is, what if America gave it's workers more rights would their output be that significantly less? Or maybe more even?

Comment on Should I bother installing another OS on my Pixel 4a? in ~tech

It's no fun beta testing an os when it's your daily phone.
And with being cautious I mean read the discourse around that phone's custom rom. Xda developers used to be the go to forums for that, nowadays discord and telegram could be sources but it depends on the particular developer.

It's just Linux, installing Koreader was literally as simple as copy pasting files. I like the Dropbox integration for transferring epubs. Kobo is also quite open, but installing Koreader has more caveats and the Pocketbook let's me just replace the default reader app with it, which is awesome. I don't think Kobo can do that.

Blender really skyrocketed once they got some big corporate sponsors and could hire some fulltime devs. So as long as Godot keeps listening to the community and don't fuck things up, which they seem to do, I'm quite confident. In fact I became a backer myself last weekend.

These are all games with over 10k reviews(arbitrary number) which use Unity. Really puts it into perspective. Few examples: Rimworld, Vampire survivors, Slime Rancher, Hollow Knight, Subnautica....
This is absolutely huge and potentially devastating. What a needless greed this is. Wow.

Look into this op, I'm a huge coffee lover, I had periods when I drank 12+ coffee a day still thinking it didn't hurt my sleep. Now I keep under 400mg caffeine per day and make sure the last dose is at least 8 but preferably more hours away from bedtime. Difference is night and day, pun intended.
Andrew Huberman has a few interesting podcasts on this topic, he's a coffee lover too I believe.
I'm not sure if this is the cure for your diet woes(probably not). But I have some experience there too. I get massive hunger when I do strength training so for me it helps to track calories and weigh myself so I don't lose weight too quickly. Or eat too much. Then for the midnight cravings I save some calories and set some healthy filling things apart for me to munch on. Like almonds, rye bread. That sort of thing.
