So I got Kingdoms of Amalur: re-reckoning and am thoroughly enjoying it! The art style is very similar and some of the dry English sarcasm and humor is there too. For the past 2 days I've been off in my own imagination reliving that childhood feeling mentioned earlier.

Been thinking about this since I've first started self educating on the subject and I always circle back to the eerie message that any warning system should convey for future generations:

This place is a message…and part of a system of messages…pay attention to it!

Sending this message was important to us. We considered ourselves to be powerful culture.

This place is not a place of honor…no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here…nothing valued is here.

What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about danger.

The danger is in a particular location…it increases towards a center…the center of danger is here…of a particular size and shape, and below us.

The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours.

The danger is to the body, and it can kill.

The form of the danger is an emanation of energy.

The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.

I like survival games but dislike the survival aspect of the games such as thirst and hunger if that makes any sense. Also way too many games have hunger/thirst that just goes down way too fast, this turns the game into an extremely tedious experience for me where instead of exploring the wonder of the land you are always gobbling down food ever 5 min.
