It's a TED talk about how humans only separate from animals because we can work together due to a common belief. He mentions the obvious, religion, but he also mentions other beliefs that we prescribe to such as the rule of law.

I mention this to now relate it to this article. This community needs rules to control it and rights to maintain peoples activity.

I know this isn't the best description, but I think it would help to have "10 commandments" and a "Bill of Rights". I mean this metaphorically, but if we have rules and rights that a large group of people can follow and have faith in then it can grow to be a very large and positive group.

Edit: changed to Bill of Rights instead of Constitution.

I would say it's based in reality. The author is great at describing things that you know would happen, but never really thought about it. For instance, so many things are illegal on Mars as it's a very delicate ecosystem so having the main character be a smuggler is a great idea and will definitely be a job on Mars some day.

Check out his new book, Artemis. It's based in a dome civilization populating Mars. It follows the life of a smuggler on Mars.

I do have a concern though and it's a double edged sword. 1) people won't go into communities and say unpopular opinions. This may deter debates from occuring which is bad, but also 2) people won't go into communities and shit post which is good.

Ultimately I like it because it will act as a check to keep people civil. Don't be a dick or you'll get one star.

I am agnostic and I rely a lot on history to make conclusions. I am fascinated by history surrounding religion.

The best way to sum up my beliefs is from the book Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind. He talks about how religion is a tool that was used to bind the masses. It is a collection of stories that teaches an entire group how to behave together.

Beyond that, I personally believe their is no use for it. The reason Muslims and Christians are so Dominant is not because their God is the one true God. It is because they were the mightiest group of people. I only imagine how many religions have been slaughtered, but if you look at where most Christians and Muslims live, they strongly correlate with the borders of ancient civilizations. Borders carved with blood and steel, not love and peace.

I dream of a book to guide the masses that we can all agree upon, but an unfortunate rule of life is "He who has the biggest sword makes the rules."

I'd also like to take a moment to point to the quality of experience is so much better now. I watch 3D movies in a lazy boy heated recliner and no visual obstructions and delivery meals and beers to my seat.

I loved Solo and word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising. If you ask me, I think the problem was the release date and lack of marketing. I can't count how many people I told about the movie and they said, "oh that's coming out today? I didn't even know!" I have become used to going to the Star Wars films with my family around Christmas and then Bam! Right in the middle of summer.

As for the Last Jedi, it was alright.
