It’s not all that strange with more context. AT is going to have to stand on their own two feet in the coming years. They will no longer remain the junior development team it’s been. Keeping Lawson over DR3 would be a huge miss of highly valuable input from a racing driver with DR3’s all-around experience.

Personally, I think Tsunoda should have the boot and Lawson the seat. He’s outperformed minimum expectations, then went above the minimum with an AT best of P9. Lawson is without a doubt doing better than Tsunoda’s rookie year. Maybe development differences over last year but… idk.

This is a topic I’ve been attempting to slow boil into conversation at my workplace.

How hot is too hot to work outside? Is 110F too hot? If by some gift from Hell the temp is 150F, certainly we’d have to agree that’s too hot. But no one can tell me how hot is deemed too hot for manual labor in direct sun. Now if it’s 110F I’d work through it best I could, however that seems like rapidly approaching dangerous and might take me 2 hours to complete an hour task. We’re out there in long sleeves to avoid fun things like skin cancer. Obviously less than ideal to keep ventilated but that’s the nature of trade-offs. On these extra hot and humid days my comprehension and general skills degrade about 5 hours into my shift. I don’t turn into a Neanderthal lol but will find myself doing a task by starting with a step that should be done in the middle of the task or something similar. Usually that’s my cue to come off the lift and hydrate in some shade for 15.

Fortunately for us, my boss goes over his boss’s head and doesn’t just bring an also-hot-case of water. He’ll load ice into a cooler and fill it with waters and Gatorade.

Which means I’m absolutely done trying to do the right thing. I wanted the content creators I like to earn revenue. I want my subscription easy to control. If I’m going to be punished for that, then to hell with doing the right thing.

Around Thanksgiving of 2003 I won a frozen turkey from the local flea market raffle. I was with my dad for that weekend and my mom didn’t know I entered so she had already bought a turkey. We got a call a on the house phone to come pick it up and ended up giving to to my grandma that year… her house is where we usually bring thanksgiving dinner and the family gets together lol. So we had two turkeys that year.

Hope this doesn’t make things worse but here goes.

What helped me most was accepting I just wasn’t into video games for a couple-ish years. I would load a game. Aimlessly do things and feel wholly unsatisfied. Not with the gameplay or anything specific to the game. I thought so at first. Saying “oh this game just isn’t creative enough. This is too challenging. This is too simple.” Took me a good year to realize but I did, and made the pivot to other hobbies. Simple reality, gaming wasn’t grabbing me during that period of my life. I went back to wrenching on my car. Painting minis. Playing with my cat more. Getting out to places to fight the habit of “I’m home, I play video games.” Maybe welding is your thing. Or cross-stitching. perhaps even getting out and doing for your community is what really excites you. Who knows.

With some introspection, maybe you’ll come to the same conclusion I did. That period of life, video games weren’t the primary interest.

All said… The interest came back. Can’t say it was a specific game or event. Just suddenly rediscovered that spark that glows for gaming. Currently I can’t get enough of Diablo IV. Been a great “turn off my brain” game after an irritating work day. Pulling away from gaming with acceptance might have been what brought me back. Hope you find that spark again.

I'm with you too. First time I read The Road I was 16 or 17 and coping with some things in my family that made the father/son bond hit me like no other book. It was the end that got me with the full weight of dread. The father was selfless on damn near every page of that book and was basically only living to ensure his son stayed alive.

Regarding the downvote option, I am so glad to not see that here. Instead of instant gratification through a mindless button, the site has compelled more dialogue out of me per post rather than “click and scroll”. I’m very new here but I’m enjoying the site immensely as is.

If that's what's holding you back, I suggest go for it as soon as any deal is offered. I've been playing solo so far and it's been absolute great Diablo style fun. Playable with a controller even and comfortably at that. The price is something that certainly hurts, but I've not played since D2 so I guess I fool myself because "I haven't been already giving them tons of my money over the years".

Well that's something I hadn't considered. With so many games releasing a slightly different copy depending on region, (dialogue, cut scene, in-game items or emblems, etc) leaving out an alpha sort seems like a minor oversight. It's funny to me because, I think, this is literally the only gripe I've had with the game.

A favorite list would also go really far. Having to scroll back and forth for me to inevitably realize I didn't have any of that item, I felt was wrapped up in the "Please add alpha sort" opinion I have. Bulk crafting is still something they feel would take away from the wonderful experience of repetition I guess? Oh well. Knowing Nintendo, they're aware it's not like most people won't play. Myself 100% included lol

Ngl, I’m actively having to remind myself “No one sentence replies. No echo chamber clichés replies. No getting ornery because someone has a mildly different opinion. Participate and be excellent to each other.”

I severely needed a detachment from not truly participating in comment chains wherein I post my opinion and let everyone else argue below after my inbox has 25 slight iterations of the same basic reply. There’s so many normalized bad habits I have from using that site over a decade, keeping myself there would only further entrench these bad habits.

So far tildes is a wonderful community, easy and simple interface. Love how it the site appears on mobile! So far, I dare say I wouldn’t even need an app.

IAMA Low-Voltage and Fiber technician mainly working with one of the busiest cruise ports in the US. Been in the field coming on 3 years now, so still rather fresh. Also have worked with NASA, Blue Origin, and SpaceX. Prior, I’ve done data entry, substitute teaching, maintenance for a veterinary clinic and a few things in between. Always looking for something new to challenge myself. The most rewarding thing to me is gaining experience and useable knowledge in a field where I once had none.

Most Used is nice but I’m using so many items it isn’t as useful for me. An option to favorite items could be welcomed and not create a mess of sorting choices.

Oh man, I freaked after #51 spun in sympathy at the first(?) chicane, forgetting they’ll scoop the car out of the gravel. Had F1 rules on the brain.

And a shoutout for Garage 56. Super cool seeing a stock car out there. Dead last but I bet Button and Johnson had a great time. Can’t recall the third driver.
