I switched over to Dreamwidth; most of the friends I had on LJ no longer post or have also moved to Dreamwidth. Even so, many people don't do long-form blogging anymore which is a shame because I feel that I made a deeper connection with people through blogging and not through Facebook, Twitter, or other new forms of social media.

I'm waiting to hear back about a job offer and it's been frustrating since I've heard nothing. It's making it difficult for me to make plans at work since I don't want to say yes to something only to not be able to do it. Also, my lease is ending in three months and I have a first round interview with another organization. This has also made it difficult for me to focus at work because I've been waiting for that one phone call or email saying that I got the job. Everything is depending on this one thing.

    [edit] I GOT THE JOB!

That book is so good! There's also a Hulu mini-series is which quite good as well (but of course the book is better).

I think the first trilogy is better because I enjoyed Phedre's story more.

Yes! I encounter so many college students who don't know how to do basic things such as turn on a computer or work with MS Office. These are things you should know by the time you get to college, but a lot of the students I work with tend to be older adults returning to school or traditional-age students who may have come from less than stellar schools.

Both, although I haven't seen Outlander in awhile (I don't have Showtime). I also love a lot of BBC productions such as Pride and Prejudice (1995) and North and South (2004).

I'd love to play Oblivion; I just wish I had a computer that was fast enough for it.

Knit, sew, crochet, quilt, and play the piano. All of that seems to require motor skills that I just don't have.

I'm not a fan of any of the political parties here in the U.S. and the way I vote really depends on the person who's running for office. If I like most of the candidate's platform, they're capable of doing a fine job in office without doing much (if any) damage, and they're not a terrible person, I will vote for them. I can say that in 2016, I voted for Bernie Sanders in the primaries and Gary Johnson in the general election. According to the Political Compass Test, I'm a left-libertarian.
