At some point for me, it "clicked" and I was able to shift from games like D&D (though I haven't played it much over the last decade my brain was still locked into it as all other games we played were largely inspired by it or had even more complex system mechanics) to being focused on how this is supposed to run in a rules-lite, narrative first, willing to break rules to make it make sense, and consensus of the group even when couch as "this is a likely one off but we'll see where it goes". I'm not likely to regularly go back to these games anymore either, narrative games are amazing.
For me, I'm playing one game, and running another game of it with some friends in the Blades in the Dark system. We've got different interpretations of things as simple as the "death bells" that toll (I felt like it was supposed to be something closer to the actual person that died rather than their read as more of a district wide thing) - both are equal and have bearing and both change how the systems, factions, people, etc would handle it. Thinking thru the downline as @WiseassWolfOfYoitsu noted of "smarter" enemies is important. Having it district wide mean that it was like constant sirens, there is always -someone- dying in Duskvol, people probably ignore them if they aren't the Wardens or meant to keep an eye on it. Whereas because mine are narrated as closer to the person, it's an alarm system for anyone nearby even when the "kill" is silent, planning or delaying the bells in some way is a known obstacle and making killing even harder to do yet my players have just reformed the crew as Assassins (long story but it's also an interesting change up from standard character creation).
I've not gotten the chance to play Dungeon World (though on my list), let me/us know how it goes!

There's probably a Adventure League (check WoTC website)/or Pathfinder Society or maybe something else at a game store near you for a drop in/out style.
It lets anyone learn without ever really making a purchase (support your FLGS - friendly local game store). The one I help out at in Pittsburgh is very welcoming of anyone, even never played before folks.
Play with friends, don't fret the system too hard
Said as someone that plays a lot of different systems (my favorite is Blades in the Dark). Someone said pick one for theme and watch a how to build a character and find a series of it and you'll probably be set. Any new system is going to have a learning curve except maybe one page systems like Lasers and Feelings, I constantly am learning parts of any system I play or run. -

That's basically my trial, currently down between 10~15 pounds. Twelve years ago, I lost 140~ pounds (started at 330~ I think, I never measured til much later), but have regained a majority of it after health issues and over the years but back to climbing now over the last two years even at a high weight and still getting thru more difficult stuff, some 11a routes as projects, but I can onsite by top-rope most 5.10a/b and might take a few runs on the c/d and that's at 285~ pounds. I've lead a few of them too, but have been really trying to refocus diet overall rather than yo-yo myself with anything extreme. Outside is a different beast though.

Comment on Apple’s requirements (subscription model only) to hit creators and fans on Patreon in ~tech

I mean even if they later go after Apple for the "practice", they'll pay back a handful of percentage points compared to the profit collected and it's a write off for Apple as a "cost of doing business" and "making money while they can" model that fucking everyone loathes.

Curious what's the issue with Manjaro? I've been using it as main for some time and generally find it easier to stick with the same distro than learn the format of several and have to flip between the pages of my brain to remember how a certain one works.
I typically use Debian or alpine for servers and Arch for desktop but I've done all listed before and end up back to this range. I've yet to encounter a show stopping issue with Manjaro though.

I think it accelerates well enough to highway (it's my downtown city car) and probably faster than the non-manual version based on conversation with friends with the other variants. The continuous transmission is weird of Honda (partner has a CRV with A CT engine) and I'm not always a fan of it's acceleration by comparison, though you can kind of "shift it" by letting off the pedal completely and laying onto it again.

Pretty damn sure I have ADHD as well, just need to actually get it diagnosed, but honestly I'm in no rush.
Overall, I don't want to take any medication for my issues. Caffeine is my only real drug of choice.
Honestly, you'll probably never feel completely removed from the imposter syndrome. I'm not. A good friend of mine has a similar mirror of diagnosis shares in the imposter. I believe it just being aggressively self-aware of oneself, which can also be a problem of itself too.
I also got the autism dx after just reading about it, the friend mentioned asked if I was ever tested (after telling them about the PTSD which can share some traits). Took tests trying to disprove it, failed. Ask my mom and family a bit on some of the traits I don't remember or have only my own POV like "do I generally have a higher threshold for pain?" and was given numerous examples. ADHD is self dx, but again research in how it meshes with autism and my traits and there is a lot of overlap in the venn diagram. My brothers also have it, so likely for me too, I just have "counter" traits or traits that allow for masking one or the other with the other.
While I have only had my dx for a short period of time, and despite imposter, it lets me forgive myself when I need it for disappearing socially. My partner probably has ADHD, seeking diagnosis, as well and just lets us continue to have a healthy relationship too which is 99.9999% good communication.
*Phone. Sorry for brevity

Driving is almost always cheaper by hundreds of dollars unless it is to somewhere very popular, but even then still tends to win but comes closer to comparison.
In example the closest I can get to near equal is a flight to Chicago from Pittsburgh is about 120 one way. I'd spend about 60 on gas to get there, maybe 80 but round trip and I'm still up a hundred bucks. Where I'd probably lose money is parking in Chicago.

However, I'm with you on just road tripping over flying in general and basically anything that is 8 hours or less is a driving trip for sure without much thought of a flight. Over that, I'll consider flying (though still lean towards driving) unless I need to bring stuff even if it all might fit in checked bags, having a car vs renting one and just not having to pack it "perfectly" and under weight limits is just so much more enjoyable for traveling. It is rare that flying wins. I also just enjoy driving for the most part especially thru mountains.

More so our as dev/operations appear to be going slowly spiraling out of control and there is no one left among them that fully grok the product to understand what making a change does or how much impact it has.
C-suite seems to still believe in witchcraft though and believe that all things are solve-able with AI.

A kind of question like:
How much of the original pain can I replace before it is no longer original?
Does it make it any less painful to know that it is a simulated act of pain?
Does it make it less real as a source of pain?I just enjoy the read thru all of this thread. Good posting.

Which I probably pay equally as much between powering the servers and storage but I want to horde a bit as I enjoy going back to watch stuff like shuffling thru a DVD collection as I never have to worry about it "going away" without a massive set of hdd death. Plus it's a bit of neat experience for my work side of life with setting it up in docker and setting up flow automation and hosting it all for friends and family.
I still have a bit more to do as I eventually want to tie in LLM subtitling via whisper for shows that can't be found with a subtitle and just be happy with it being 'good enough' plus some reducing in the size of the servers that things are running on and setting up a bit more in a docker swarm/k8 style as now it's a bit more dedicated things that just talk to one another with mild backup redundancies.

USAA has fully refunded the fees before and has methods to protect you by credit card for handling via overdraft protection.
The banks have been able to do "good" for a long time and instead chose to fuck the poor. Fuck them. I know I have some privilege now with money but banks are fucking predators.

Do you mean like npp (notepad++) or something like that? Are you looking for a previewer too?I use npp for writing markdown and I don't use the navigator for files in it, and it can do a bit of syntax highlighting too, but there are plugins like - https://github.com/nea/MarkdownViewerPlusPlus that give you a render of the page too.
Just thought I'd check it against a quick AI checker that I found and it believes it to be 90% confident human, but I would agree that it's a series of shower thoughts.
