I'm about a month into my bulk now and I'm really surprised at how phat some parts of me are getting. My chest is starting to look fuller, and I've gone from skinny legs and flat ass to having some actual junk in the trunk.

The bulk has been a little dirty so far but with my lifts shooting up and my body changing I'm happy with how it's going.

I'm about a month into my first bulk and my lifts are climbing fast. I've been weighing myself intermittently and I'm about 10lbs up since I started. Since I'm aiming for 4lbs a month (2lb fat, 2lb muscle) I'm probably eating a little too much.

With that said I think some of the extra weight can be explained by water retention from creatine. I'll probably dial things back slightly to lean out, but it's going well so far.

It's not a thinker at all, and is more on the mindless fun end of the scale.

My main complaint is that Mark Wahlberg should not have been cast. He has no chemistry with Tom Holland, and he is such a bad Sully.

Are there any guides for improving your Spotify algo? I used to love song radio and artist radio, but like you said, it's just a constant pool of the same 50 songs, no matter what I ask for!

I played Breath of the Wild when it originally came out and rage quit on lightning ganon.

I recently started playing it earlier this year when my 4 year old son asked to play 'big zelda' (we've already completed Link's Awakening remake together several times).

He's really good at Links Awakening and can handle everything apart from a few bosses. I anticipated botw would be too hard and he'd just enjoy exploring the plateau. He's really taken to the concept of freeing the divine beasts and Hyrule.

We've been playing on and off for about 6 months and we're up to our last divine beast, the one that has lightning ganon at the end. In a way I feel a strange parallel with the champions in the story who fell 100 years ago. I too, failed last time, but this time I have to prevail!

Was supposed to start my bulk today but I've had to push it back a few days. Had an awful 48-hour fever over the weekend, and I still don't feel quite right.

Started cutting in February, and I'm down from 202lbs to 175lbs. (27lbs overall)

I'm 6'4" so 175 is close to the low end for me, though I definitely still had a little fat to go. I've put on a bit of noob muscle during this phase too so it's not all been loss.

I'm planning to bulk for about 40 weeks, which will take me to the start of my son's summer holidays. I won't be able to hit the gym as consistently then so I'll start a mini cut with some home callisthenics.

Currently I do PPL 5-6 times a week, with one 5k a week. Last couple of weeks some life stuff has come up, so I've only managed 2-3 weights session a week.

People don't need psychotic dog breeds though, there's just isn't a single argument in the playbook to defend the breeding and failed domestication of animals that are bred for chaos and violence.

Been back in the gym since February, after several years off. Started with couch to 5k and then started doing Reddit PPL.

I'm 20lbs down from the start of the year, 205 to 180. I think I'm going to keep going until I'm at 175, I just want to trim as much fat as possible.

Haven't been able to be as consistent with my son off for summer, but he starts school in a week and I'll have way more time for the gym.

I'm planning to start bulking up at that point, I'm tall so I'll probably have to shoot for around 3200 calories. I've never been this consistent with the gym for so long, and 'trusting the process' is definitely working so far.

I'm excited to see how my body changes when I start bulking, I'm 33 but definitely still have noob gains to earn.

I'm the same age as you and have had a very sedentary WFH job for the last 7 years. Like, some mornings I wake up, pick up my laptop and start working in bed.

During this time I slowly started picking up all sorts of random injuries as my muscles began to atrophy. At the beginning of this year I said enough and began eating right, running, and lifting weights.

It's been about 6 months of this now and I can run 5-10k a week, mixed with 3-4 weight sessions. My body is starting to look more muscular and I feel great. You can definitely still do it.

Just finish a small novel. Set a goal for 50k and start writing. 1k a day and in 50 days you'll have a shitty novel.

This is how I started and I wrote a lot of shitty novels. The first 2 or 3 are sitting on a hard drive never to be read because they're so bad, but the 4th time around I was slowly starting to get somewhere. I now do KDP for a living and have written someone in the ballpark of 50 novels over various pen names, all in the span of about 7 years. I write pulp genre fiction so I'm not going for perfection or earth-stopping prose, just get a story down and do it fairly well.

I actually think I'm a half decent writer now. I write on the rat wheel of frequent publishing so I stick to one tight draft. My books would be even better off with multiple drafts, but I don't want to get better at writing one book, I want to get better at writing as many as possible. Only way to do that is write, publish, repeat. You might even make a job out of it.

I think execs at Sony and Microsoft really need to tap more into the indie circuit. The current strategy of putting all the eggs in a couple big budget baskets just doesn't build a gaming catalogue fast enough.

Take the budget for one of those games and break it into one hundred pieces, specifically to develop new and original IPs. Reach out to indie Devs across the broad spectrum of genres with tried and tested records and ask them to pitch for a new IP exclusive for the console (let's say PS6 for example).

Aim to gather 1000 pitches and shortlist 100 games to be developed from the new IP budget. 40 positions allocated from strength / unique character of pitch, 40 allocated from strength of studio (track record, market size, audience), and the remaining 20 allocated completely at random from the 1000.

The remaining 900 I anticipate a lot of pitches will straight up suck, but I'm sure there'd be some in there that could be set aside for 2nd wave of IP development. These titles are scheduled to come along after the first wave of 100 and not 100% funded by the studio. Perhaps 50% using profits generated from wave 1.

Thanks for the words of wisdom! I think I've already decided to try and clean bulk, there's a lot of really accessible science backed research these days and it suggests that dirty bulking doesn't really put on more muscle than a clean bulk. I've even read that 0.72g of protein is all you need (per gram of LBM). The only weak link in my chain is sleep, I manage about 6 hours a night, though I'm trying to improve that.
