Baldur's Gate 3 is also made by Larian Studios and also supports local co-op. Can't recommend enough.

The widgets are generally things I only need to look at in order to get all the information I need, such as the weather, sports scores, 2fa code generation, etc.
I use maybe 30 apps somewhat regularly and these I have on my home screen. I have single apps that I use the most as their own icons, and the rest in folders. Similarly to you, the more used items are to the side of my dominant hand. Some launchers in Android allow swipe actions on icons, so I set swipes on folders to launch the most used app in that folder. Some of my single apps also have a swipe action to launch a similar app, such as the main two web browsers I use, or camera and gallery.
Some Android OEMs have an edge tool, so there's an area on the edge of the screen you can swipe in on which opens up a small drawer with some apps/shortcuts. I've dabbled in moving some of the main apps into there but I don't think it's clicking for me.

The software is also only lightly skinned so it is similar to pixel software and the last 2 generations of phones have had multi-day battery life. Only downside is Asus doesn't have the best track record of long term software/security updates and it's a little pricier than the base pixel.

There a multiple playable characters that have different card sets available to them with different mechanics. The android port is pretty good and the touch controls generally work well since touch targets are large enough.

- Definitely the big thing that has kept Miami in this game has been their (unsustainable?) 3 point shooting
- Giving Love some playing time does give the heat an additional outside shooter, but his size is a much better matchup against Gordon and Jokic on the inside
- Alongside that, Heat have done a great job of not letting Gordon getting switched onto Vincent
- Braun will have a career in this league as an on ball defender even if his offensive game doesn't develop any further
- Jokic has to be the best player in the NBA on the offensive end. Throughout the playoffs he's been making shots against some physical defense and has made some impossible reads on passes.
- Butler doesn't seem right. Isn't attacking as much, not seeking contact, and is settling for some contested outside shots he wouldn't normally take. Maybe his knee is still bothering him?
ETA:
- Robinson being able to make cuts, and take some action off the dribble has opened up his offensive game so much. Crazy how he was basically benched for a large portion of the year and considered one of the worse contracts in the league to showing up big in the finals
- The heat need to figure out their backup centre minutes. Zeller came in for a hot minute and had 3? turnovers/fouls

I...Sorry, I know you specifically asked for other tools, but if you already have an emacs-orgmode setup you already like, I would definitely recommend taking a look at Windows Subsystem for Linux. I tried the initial launch of WSL and it was definitely finicky, but with the release of WSL 2, every thing is a lot more natural. I've found that you can basically treat the terminal as a linux terminal.

It introduces another playable character in the regular game mode, but also adds another mode called Downfall where the playable characters are regular mode enemies and fight your way down the tower. The bosses are the regular mode characters, with the 4th boss being Neow.
Downloading it through the workshop also requries BaseMod as well as StSLib, but Downfall has been popular enough that the mod creators made it a standalone download in addition to the workshop.

Something about deck builders draws me in. Finished inscryption as well and trying to get my partner to play across the obelisk with me.
I've been an avid fan of deck builders, playing several hundred hours between slay the spire (including downfall) and inscryption. Lately I haven't really played them outside of travelling with my steam deck, since there's only so many times you can go through a20 or the kaycee's mod's decks before it gets a little repetitive.
I finally got around to playing Monster Train this past week since it was free from prime gaming recently. It's definitely scratching the itch that StS did. I've already bought the DLC. Just nice to play something new and learn what interactions work in this game.
