Nijuu Lost my 8 year old job early July (after moving to new rental place just past October), lost my mobile which had all my precious memories in Feb.. been in a holding pattern the last few months...Lost my 8 year old job early July (after moving to new rental place just past October), lost my mobile which had all my precious memories in Feb.. been in a holding pattern the last few months wondering what to do, just doing basics day by day ..i am looking for work but more keen to be offerred work back at the new company risen from the ashes of the one i lost job from (redundancy) - hoping in next two weeks. I really should have got another job in July when i lost my previous one. Been in that motivational neutral loop.... (same pattern when i went through two other redundancies stretching back 20 years......And i turned 55 this year....somethings going to give at some point and im rarely negative person..

Nijuu I don't understand all the whinging by people about reddit. Maybe I don't frequent the biggest popular subreddits at all. Been using it for eons. No issues with my regular subreddits. Only issue for me is the bad UI of the website now. Really awkward to use (I'm using it via paid android app these days as a result ). Fwiw the only things that bother me with the site UI aside is all frequent use of meme art of gifs.. Annoying plus.

Nijuu Yeah but the diversification has been going on the last few years to avoid having China as the sole supplier of the things you mentioned. A ton of manufacturing has moved to Vietnam for example....Yeah but the diversification has been going on the last few years to avoid having China as the sole supplier of the things you mentioned. A ton of manufacturing has moved to Vietnam for example. In terms of tech Taiwan arguably is a bit more important than China (probably one reason they are trying to get Taiwan back into the fold)

Nijuu About the only things i shop in person are clothes and groceries. Everything else is online. Why?. Much better variety (Australia is pretty bad in that regard) and payment options online. With hours i work its difficult unless i want to wait til weekend to visit physical stores in person.

Nijuu When i was little, we used to go to local fish shop in our regional area. Bottles full of fresh oysters (out of their shell obviously) less than $10 AUD a bottle. Add a little bit of salt to each oyster, swallow it. Yup. NOW.. cant buy those bottles anymore. Mostly sold in their shells per dozen and quite pricey considering. They are sadly more of a if you can afford them now ....

Umm relationships for me are deeper intimate more emotional bonds. Friendships have a more shallow feel to them?. Think 100m deep relationships. Friendships 50m. Close friendships 75m. Best buds 85m. Well thats how i see it :)
